NHL Season: 36-45 (-3.81 units)
First off, thanks for the kind words last night fellas. Still looking at a few things, but I like two plays so far:
1) Calgary ML +170
No need for a long explanation here, infinii and others have pretty much said it all concerning this game. Calgary is hotter, Bruins are banged up, and Bruins have to be a little tired and/or deflated.
2) Vancouver/San Jose over 5 (-130)
San Jose broke out of a scoring slump with 5 goals against Ottawa last time out. The three games before that were against Nashville, Dallas, and Tampa Bay - all strong defensive teams. They really struggled to score goals during that stretch and I think that is the reason for a total of 5 and not 5.5. After an unbelievable run of strong offense and defense for a while by Vancouver, their goaltending has been awful recently. They have given up 23 goals in 6 games for an average of nearly 4 goals per game. But, their offense has not deserted them the same way. They have still managed to score at least 3 goals in 6 of their last 8 games. I think this is an overreaction by the bookmakers to San Jose's scoring troubles against strong defensive teams and I like the over.
GL everyone, input always appreciated.
