Outside of the kid goalies, are there any other kids that have some talent that we can bank on in future years??
I was a season ticket holder in the pre-Mario era.....$3.50/game to sit in section d-25, row f, seats 1 and 2.

I guess the short answer is no, there is just not enough NHL caliber talent to have any hope of competing, not soon anyway and not in the year or two Mario has left in him. We have simply sold off too much talent. Think about the players we have let go in the past 3-4 years and you could field an all-star squad. IF, and thats a big IF, they play a very tight system, play as a team and get way above average goaltending from Fleury I think you may see a run similar to what the Ducks did last year in the next few years, but that is the top of the mountain for this team, a real contenter is several years off, if it ever comes again. You and I were probably half the people in attendance those pre-Mario days when hoping Gary Rissling would beat the shit out of someone was the best you could hope for.
