Of course, Oregon St wont even have to beat Arizona next week to go Rose Bowling if Stanford pulls off another upset....Beavers could then split down the stretch and still come in first place.

Can Stanford do this again? I have no action on this game, but just felt USC would come out smoking after last year.

Bowl Season just around the corner.

What about this hypothetical matchup.

Gator Bowl

ND vs Miami.....catholics vs convicts reprise.

A 7-5 ND team will go to the Gator Bowl....the other team can be a Big East or ACC team......the pecking order is anybody's guess.

But, I'd like to see this matchup.

BBC....if you're out there, pull yourself away from your HK picks (its just going to be 0-4 anyway) and tell me what you think about this game if it happens.

Picks were in early - I'm already +2, Bitch:mj07: .

I'm not capping a hypothetical. I'm pretty confused about what happened today. Clausen's regressed - 2 weeks ago, there were maybe 10 QBs that I would trade him for THIS year and now, he's lost confidence. But the passing game plan sucked and the protection sucked. Defense played much better than I expected.

I'd love the Sun Bowl or any bowl. 2010 is the goal, I'd don't care how much shit I have to go through to get there

Um, whats wrong with LSU.....do they think its noon or something?

Actually I thought Troy was more athletic than Ohio State when they played back in September....yes, LSU is a different animal, but it looks like Troy intends on not backing down.

An LSU loss could impact the January 1 morning bowls or even the Cotton Bowl.

Of course, Carolina got steamrolled and UK looks terrible tonight, so if they all lose, the pecking order does not change at all.

Hey BBC!!!! Nice start in HK, I stand corrected.

Anyway, glad you saw this post......I do think the Gator Bowl has dibs on the Irish at 7-5....but if its the Sun Bowl, then its a game against Cal or Oregon....something like that.

But, c'mon...Canes vs Irish, Wings-Hawks at Wrigley.....I'd take that along with the two SEC/Big 10 games as my News Year Day entertainment......although I think those Frosh DL the Canes have would swallow Claussen.

Its funny that Claussen has regressed even as Tate and Flloyd emerge as a WR duo.....makes me wonder about Jimmy's chances at really being the answer.

2010. Really. C'mon, you guys wont have a chance against Rodriguez's machine at that point. :SIB

Where's Tate and Floyd? Since Clausen started to regress, they're not on the stat sheet.

Weis went with leadership today so we got Grimes as the #1 targer and Parris whose just like Shark without the the hands and the elusiveness. Finally decided to throw a fade against the 5'7" corner and decided to use Tate.

Over the next two years, the Gator Bowl will select one Big East team or Notre Dame, and one Big XII team. This is the best year for the Big XII in some time, so let's say that Notre Dame goes 8-4 with a bad loss to Southern Cal at the end of the season.

And since you genuinely seem interested in the Irish's bowl prospects - this is from an Irish blog

. . . On the other hand, let's say that Texas wins out to the Big XII title game, where they're upset by Missouri, and Oklahoma or Oklahoma State also win out. Now Mizzou is in the BCS and Texas would almost certainly follow, meaning the Gator Bowl could be choosing between 8-4 Notre Dame and a one-loss Oklahoma or Oklahoma State. According to the rules, the Gator Bowl gets the first selection of a Big XII team after the BCS takes its one or two (which it will be), represenatives. I know when it comes to going bowling the Irish almost always take precedence, but I find it difficult to imagine that the Gator Bowl would pass on a one-loss Sooners team for a four-loss Irish team.

There I go again breaking don a game I didn't even watch....well except for the end and all those onside kicks.....I was dealing with my own team's demons at the Big House.

Sounds like you're saying perhaps the coach took them out of the gameplan......interesting. ....wish I had DVRed it, so I can take a look myself

I like the way both have developed and ND can win big and Charlie can run his O with these to guys at their positions.....Floyd has impressed me and if Claussen was improving, rather than regressing, they could be a top connection for the next two seasons.....but, now I wonder if Jimmy can get him the ball consistently.

I wonder if he's burned out or has hit the wall.

Good info......thanks for posting.....i had totally forgot about any Big 12 connection to that bowl.......Texas Tech played last year vs UVA, I should have remembered that.

Rats....sounds like convicts vs catholics is a long shot.

I forgot you were watching a real spread attack with a noodle-armed qb running the show . . . I've felt your pain - it will get better.

I have it taped, but I'm probably not going to watch it again because it's tough to gauge any game against athletes as "unique" as Navy's. I expected a one-game blowup, but I'm worried with him only because of his bloodlines. His big brother was called "iceman" after two seasons.
