Well I hope this is not an omen as the Vet has scratched my Best Bet of the Day #4-Plum Island in Race #1. Have adjusted my wagers for that Race in my earlier post.

Best move I made lately was to take a vacation from good ole Philly; I would have gotten beaten to a pulp if I played them during my vacation from hosses. Favorites, favorites and more favorites AND even when a well priced hoss hit the board - the payoff was NOT up to par AND I don't think I woulda been on it anyways. I considered to just continue losing with the footballers and STOP playing Philly for a long vacation.

Saw a glimmer of hope last week and decided to play the "playables" last week; favorites prevailed, BUT one of my playables came though for me BIG TIME (hit decent "win, only" bet on the wiener who paid $35+ AND hit the tri. (paid something like $448- OF COURSE I cashed half of that ) Collected plenty on the win bet though. It was really great to see a hoss I liked A LOT win for me for a change.

Bankaroo got a big boost and now I'm back.:0053
BTW, I did stop in to read your post a couple of times; just didn't have time to reply.. watched one you really liked at Aqueduct.. poor start yet got the place.

I'm right around even right now for today.. 9th race is next and it is a PLAYABLE race but it's also BARELY betable. My ratings sez the no. 1 is an EZ wiener.

I'll be on 1.9 top/bot 3,5,10. IF any of those, other than the no. 1, gots the "LOOKS" then I will play it to WIN, only.

No Zuppa for me (10 cents -> $98.51) or tri ($291.20).. . BUT, yes to the zackta (got the whole stinkin $2 payoff ->$47.20). And what happened to the rated no. 1 hoss, bestest bet? Well. you don't even git your moola back when the hoss falls down during the dang wace. NO, I didn't play that one by itself; only used in zacks. Did play the 9 and the 5 to win.

Should mention, DT ... I don't bother to play or even watch the Philly dirt bombs when on hoss vacation. But, I do go over my records and they are VERY comprehensive too (ain't computers wonderful?). They tell me that you will hit a long enough losing streak at some points (surprise, surprise) that will impact your bankaroo, BUT there are mostly VERY long winning streaks just betting the top rated hoss in every PLAYABLE wace. VERY LONG profitable streaks too.

I didn't check to see how you woulda done over a SEASON of hoss wacin cause there ain't no mo SEASONS... the greedy bastages ruined hoss wacin by running the dirt bags EVERY RACING day for years now. Yeah, online betting (horses AND OTHER SPORTS), more casinos, etc helped kill the sport as well. OTB helped to kill it but instead of an "instant" death - OTB 'helped" matters by making it a SLOW death. Asfaras what going all year round does for wacin, note how tracks like Saratoga and even Atlantic City do revenue-wise compared to the "factories". I wouldn't doubt it that Philly follows Suffolk some day.

I'm sooo happy that I got more than my share of enjoyment out of this sport no matter what it may have costed me during the days when this sport/game was in it's heyday for so many years.

I'll PROB. post from time to time again, DT and the few MJers that are interested if any are left.

There are 4 playable races today but here's the one I got good vibes on....

Race 6: Ratings are 1-10-6 in that order. I'm liking the 1 and the 6 and expect very decent odds on either one Push come to shove ... . I'll take the no. 6. IF either one wins though - I will be smiling after the races today no matter what happens with the other races. Some tickets will have both on the bottom of the xactas as well.

I couldn't win enough ONE baggers to get even so far with them footsbawlers this season. Yesterday it was Penn St. and Miami that added to my woes.

I already gave up with them NFLers more than a month ago. I never played around with those NFLers that much anyways.

today's (Sun.) 4th race didn't pan out too good for me either; I already posted the play on no.4 somewhere around here; doesn't matter. Actually, that hoss was right there until DEEP stretch. He musta "bounced' off that great run he gave us/me in his last race. Caught that one pretty good when he won that race about a week ago.

Man, that was some race. Soooo close to a BIG CELEBRATION today. And I mean BIG :0071 :0071 :0071

That no. 6 (12/1) had it won within YDS. of the finish line.
Decent exacta payout made it a medium/large celebration. :0071

The replay tells it all, man, bet that race pretty dang big, esp. with the no. 6. Oh well. That's hoss wacin.

Next playable is the 8th and it's time to put the safe away and bet from the piggy bank again LOL.
