Seattle (Piniero) @ NY Yankees (Lilly)

Going with the Mariners behind the very impressive arm of Piniero they are 8-3 in game two of a series after a loss.

Piniero has been awesome this year with the Mariners going 5-0 in his starts this year and he has an ERA of 0.93 in those starts , he is 1-0 on the road ERA of 2.00, this is his first start against the Bronx Bombers and I really think that is to the Mariners advantage as this kid can throw the rock! Lilly has been a disappointment after a very good start, he is 1-2 in 10 starts at home with an ERA of 4.58, he has one starts against Seattle with a no decision ERA of 13.53.

Seattle is 30-11 as a road favorite, 25-7 as a road fav. of -150 or less, 27-8 in day games, 78-34 on grass, 47-17 on the road and 22-11 against lefties batting avery solid .400 as a team against them their last 10 games. The Yanks are 3-0 as a home dog , 1-0 as a home dog of +150 or less 30-18 in the daylight, 62-42 on grass, 41-23 at home and 55-39 vs. right handers but are batting a very poor .249 as team their last 10 and face a kid that could shut them down today in my opinion.

Two good solid bullpens. I really think that Pinella wants to wn this series as they will probably be facing this team in the post season and want to get their confidence up against them. I see the Mariners starting to lay back and taking it easy but not here I really think that they want this series and will play hard.

Play Seattle -115

Very good writeup Robert, and I agree with you on Seattle. However, wanted to point out one thing with their .249 batting average against righties, the yanks are averaging 6.63 runs/game over last ten. Also, averaging 6.28 at home against righties this year. When wind is blowing less then 10mph at yankee stadium overs are 27-15. I am taking both seattle and over. Seattle will get their runs off Lily, if yanks get theirs, game will go over. Can't see losing both.

Only thing that bothers me on the total is the ump Jeff Nelson he has called 11 overs and 13 unders so he is borderline and this kid Piniero can really pitch . Just my thought best of luck to you and I will be rooting for a 10-5 Seattle win so we are both happy LOL!

yesterday's game was under , believe this one will go over. 2 very good hitting teams, yankees got lucky yesterday i believe not to take anything away w/mussina's performance but if you watched it closely like i did everytime seattle had runner's on ball bounced yankees way for double play's etc. won't happen today think mariners are good for atleast 5 or 6 runs atleas. not sure if i'm playing this one yet but have to play seattle and the over if i play it

Thanks for another nice write up. I am going with Seattle again today. I think the fact that the Yanks haven't seen Pineiro yet might help him run through the order twice. Could be a big edge.
