Lots of games .. really hard to filter out the unwanted games

Carolina/NYR game shud go Under. Both teams cannot score.
Florida/NYI game shud go Under. Luongo will save the Under.
Chicago/Atlanta game shud go Under. I am not paying -150 for the Under 5 1/2
Devils and TB shud go under .. am not paying -145 for the Under
Philly and Phoenix shud go under .. not taking the Under 4 1/2 right now ..

Played so far :

Leafs @ Montreal Under 5 Goals

Got this @ +115 .. Leafs got beat up by Montreal 4-0 @ home.
Tell me they remember this. Montreal is confident and is averaging a lot of goals. But they scored i think around 5 each against Caps and Pens. Eddie the Eagle is in a different class as compared to Kolzig and Caron.

Mogilny i think is still gonna be out. Helps reduce the offence. Theodore shud play well.

These rivalries are usually well fought. Toronto gave up the puck in their zone in the last game which led to scoring chances.
Expect a better defensive effort from the Leafs.

Same goes for the Canadiens.

I think this one ends in a 1-1 or a 2-1 game.


Columbus @ Nashville Under 5 Goals

Got this @ -125 overnight. Denis playing great. Vokoun has been solid. Dont think Columbus scores a lot. Dont think they allow Nashville to score a lot. Think this one stays to 3 goals.

Considering the following still:

Carolina/NYR Under 5
Florida / NYI Under 5
Philly / Phoenix Under 4 1/2
Chicago / Atlanta Under ???

All depends on the juice .. . will check the lines tomorrow ..

Carolina @ Rangers Under 5 Goals
Both teams have hard time scoring. Both teams have a lot of shots on goal. What is going to happen is anybody's guess. Historically these two teams play low scoring games. I will take this one @ +105 money.


Islanders and Florida Under 5 Goals

How many shots are Florida gonna allow on goal. They have said that they want to play more defence and cut down the number of shots that Luongo has to face. They gave up 35 shots to Carolina .. . :mad: Islanders gave up a lot of goals Islanders averaging 3 goals per game. But that was becoz of the fockin 6 goals they scored in Buffallo land. Luongo does not have very good numbers against Islanders but he did restrict them to 1 goal on the Saturday they played in NYC. Di Pietro has not had to face a lot of shots and I dont think Florida is going to get a lot of shots on goal. Di Pietro has managed to stop most of the shots. Mebbe he shuts Florida out. If so I dont think Luongo will give up 5 goals. Thinking around 3-4 goals will be scored tops.


Chicago Blackhawks Team Total Under 2 1/2 Goals

Chicago with some key injuries. Nurminen has been outstanding in the goal. Thrashers always play good defence @ home. I will take this one @ even money.

Atlanta Thrashers Team Total Under 3 Goals
Atlanta has scored more than 3 goals once this season in the whacky game against the Caps ( who does not score against the Caps :mad: )

Chicago gave up 5 goals to Colrado (expected) and 4 goals to LA who are showing a lot of grit. I expect a better performance from them in terms of the defence especially considering that the Captain and Daze are out. Keep the game close through the defence.

Thibault should be in the goal. Only time he faced Thrashers he got a shutout. I am sure he remembers that. Takes 4 goals to take our money away.

I am expecting a 2 - 1 Atlanta win.

$$ Regarding the Philly Game - Philly does not play well against Phoenix and the 4 1/2 is bugging me. I will wait to see how the earlier games pan out. Pro-line has the total @ 5 1/2.

$$$$ Lot of plays. Lot of money on the line. Hope the Under Gods are with US.

for those who have florida game:

Luongo was traded in 2000 from the Islanders to make room for DiPietro, who the team then selected first overall in that year's entry draft. Luongo himself was a fourth overall pick so it was more or less the Isles picking DiPietro over him


Tell me both goaltenders are pumped up.

$ I was considering play bet Sharks Team Total Under and Philly Under. Took Philly Under and it lost in the first period. Bad call by me in this and the Atlanta Game. :mad:

So I went back thru my records and tracked the win-losses. Units is hard to track becoz I bet different amounts on different games.



For what its worth: I am up around $2000 ..

1 Winner not posted on forum before start.
1 Loss and 1 Push (Goaltender changed)
1 Loss (Empty Netter)

I am keeping a track of how many bets I lose due to Empty Netters and which Team.

Couple of observations: Cannot believe the number of penalties in the Atlanta Game.

Same with Phoenix Game. 3 Penalties in the first 5 Minutes.
League trying to call more Penalties to improve scoring ??? :mad: :confused: :eek:

2 PP Goals by Philly in First 15 minutes. Amazing. :confused: :mad:
