alright, time to turn this bitch around and hit some winners...
indiana (+10.5) 1 unit. yikes. did i really just take the hoosiers? yeah, but it's really an anti-iowa play. the hawkeyes just aren't that good this year. and this is a sandwich game for them, between road games at wisconsin (tough loss) and penn state.
northwestern (+17) 1 unit. saw an excellent point posted by thunder... michigan is 0-2 this year against the spread offense.
oregon (-6.5) 1 unit. c'mon, i gotta play ONE favorite. #11 opened as a 4.5 point fav over #6? ok, i'll buy that. but then the line shot up 2 points? hmmm....
alabama (+1.5) 1 unit. i've been saying this for 2 years... florida state is NOT that good. sec over the acc today.
illinois (+3) 2 unit. hate going against my team 2 weeks in a row, but psu is in trouble. michigan exposed them last week. morelli is very talented, but he just can't put it together. here are some numbers from last year's matchup in happy valley (if you have a weak stomach, you may want to skip ahead)... illinois led 9-3 at halftime. illinois had 19 first downs to 10 for psu (10 first downs all game! :scared ), illinois outgained psu 358 yards to 184 (that edge was almost entirely on the ground, 202 yards to 40), psu scored a td on a fumble return and a 29-yard kick return. yikes.
wisconsin (-7.5) 1 unit. i'm really not a believer in wisconsin this year (had iowa last week), but i have a strange feeling they're going to be the spartans fairly easily.
kansas state (+14.5) 1 unit. texas has been living on borrowed time so far this year. ksu beat 'em last year, which will give them confidence going into this game. oh, and texas has oklahoma next week. that will take away some focus on revenge from last year.
georgia tech (+3) 1 unit. tech will throw eveything at this kid from clemson. he's been very good so far, but he hasn't seen anything like this. IF tech can slow down clemson's great rb duo and make harper throw, they can win this game.
purdue (-22) 1 unit. ok, one more fav. i'm just gonna keep going against nd until they cover a game. plus, it's just fun to keep betting against nd.
FAU (+24) 1 unit. not a strong play, but kentucky is coming off 2 huge wins and their schedule after this game? #16 south carolina (thursday game), #2 lsu, and #4 florida. ouch. no focus on FAU. the better play may be the over.
