just got back coaching my granddaughters YMCA basketball team...my granddaughter is the Taco Falls of the Austin YMCA league....would of loved to put a "box and one " on the other teams only scorer but my wife and daughter are there explaining to me the YMCA philosophy of fair play and wining means nothing....that is tough to do but will abide by those rules....
Saturday is where I got into trouble last week so will play only strong plays with a few comments and suggestions on smaller plays since I capped them anyway..
Siena -9.5 over Niagara **** line is now -8.5
Saints are the most dangerous team in the MAAC....they also are the home team in the conf tourney starting in 2 weeks..big advantage...they are 10-7 and log jammed at the top with other 10-7 and 11-6 teams vying for that 2nd seed...Purple are 6-11 and it doesn't make any difference who they will play...Saints have 5 good ball players...and having a great pt gd in Wright helps....he can shoot,pass and penetrate....Bip and Ogun are 2 big kids inside..people sleep on Long and he can score...then you throw in Clareth who was a selfish ball hog not giving it up and not playing defense..."boom"...your off the team for awhile...now he is back on and scoring and being a team player....Purple have Scott who is really good but they cannot play defense...think Saints are focused and know everyone is looking at Monmouth,Iona who almost lost last nite,Peter,Fairfield and Canisius...all fighting for the 2 seed...
Tulane -5.5 over USF ****
Taking Tulane with 4 or 5 wins is a big risk...USF lost 12 in a row and then just beat ECU...watched Tulane almost upset Smoo the other nite...Wave already beat USF by 15 earlier in the yr...at home.Reynolds can score..liked Frazier and Morgan....2 bad teams but think one is a lot worse..Wave win at home abd ge a cover...
UCF -4.5 over ECU ***
UCF in a big slump...came out of it beating Tulsa by 18...they play tough defense..and with 7'6 Taco and BJ think they win this by double digits...ECU is up after great win vs Temple but think BJ and co starting playing like they did before their losing streak....and you have Taco to dominate the paint...
UTA -2 over Ga. So ****
Mavs are on a roll..have to much talent at the gds and inside..Hervey is dominate..GA is coming home after 2 losses on the rd to Coastal and Appa St...UTA beat Appa by 16 on the rd..did lose to Coastal though..UTA has a better offense and defense then Geo..Geo can score but Mavs aren't going to trip now...

Last time they played the game ended up in OT...and Navy won by 18 I think..my buddy went to the game..how can you win by that many in OT.. I could be wrong about that....I know both teams can't shoot FT's..how can that be.....you guys should be disciplined...
