adding the yankees at home getting money. yankees seeing the ball real well and getting some great pitching to boot. lilly has struggled somewhat but yanks are rollin and they will prove who the best in the a.l. is after this series. Piniero has not faced a lineup like this yet. throw out the numbers to today this will be a major smack in face after today. laugh now but lilly will pitch a great game today. the sweep is a comin.

Didn't see your ? in the thread. reason for such a big play was 2 reasons.

pitt 8-2 under last ten road games.

but the biggest factor was the pitching change. usually when a pitchers starts his first game it is usually an impressive one. don't ask me why and i don't have the stats for it but I know it wins.

another twist to this is when atlanta faces a rookie for the first time they make them look like cy young canidates. everytime. last time it happened to atlanta was this year. nelson figeuroa philly lost the game but was impressive going 7 innings giving up 1. but the game went under.
