This team is bizarre and driving me crazy. Biggest thing is that they simply cannot shoot.

I know it sounds crazy, but I'm so ready for Roy to go. He's a good guy and has used the aid of 2 of the best programs in the nation to recruit awesome talent. He just doesn't know much about the game of basketball.

He doesn't understand you need guys that can shoot. He wants a glorified pickup team...basically a track team...and just outrun everybody. Halfcourt offense is to shoot a bad shot and then have everyone else try to tap it back out. His solution to big runs and huge momentum swings is to "RUN FASTER"....call a damn timeout....he's a great guy and I like him but he's not a good coach.

I appreciate the 2 titles, I really do....but I'm tired of garbage basketball with all that talent. I despise Coach K more than anyone on this planet, but he'd have won 4-5 national titles at UNC since Roy got here.

I agree completely. If a team can't get up for lesser teams consistently and have the same deficits (free throw shooting comes to mind) it is coaching. I'll go ahead and put Will Muschamp in this conversation also and just trade stupid penalties for free throw shooting. This team could go into Syracuse and win outright and then lose to the directional high school that's on the schedule next.

Tried to reply yesterday but my cpu turned off and I just left it off with a storm...my friend's house got hit by a tornado, I got there about an hour after it hit...not a lot of damage but the neighborhood as a whole did, plus a huge delivery truck got flipped onto its side. Crazy.


I didn't put anything on it but watched 2nd half. Heard UNC did ok early and then Syracuse goes on a 21-3 run....and yet again Roy can't call timeout.

Roy is stupid as hell. Put him at an average program and he'd get killed night after night for a couple years and then fired and if lucky he'd have a career as an assistant.

If nothing else, its just MIND BOGGLING to watch so many teams go on such HUGE RUNS against Carolina and Roy REFUSES to call a timeout. Is he that ignorant??
