Man is this a weird card on the anniversary of Elvis' death and Madonna's birth, two one-named musical American icons. Dog days of August are a trying time to bet bases, but the astute and disciplined bettor can still turn chicken shit into chicken salad.

I am a guy who makes his living on Totals, and specifically UNDERS, but I see plenty of offense and little to stop it today.

Pedro is one of my favorite RHP of all time. He threw the most impressive one-hitter I have ever seen, in Yankee Stadium in Sept of '99, striking out 17. including 8 of the last 9 hitters in a CG win.

However , this ain't '99 anymore, and his fastball is not the same as when we partied like it was Nineteen-Ninety-Nine.
