Josh Beckett makes much anticipated first start of the year, against a tough Phillie lineup. Even if he pitches well I would expect only 6 innings max out of him and then we get to see the bullpen. My thought is Beckett gets touched up a little and the bullpen gets torched.

Reds (Reitsma) -1.5 +155
1 unit. Reitsma is another guy that if you're going to use do it early in the year. I like the him in this spot and think the Griffey's will have a big day. I'm laying the run and a half in these two games to try and dig out a little. i don't dop this often, but it worked for me in a couple spots last year.

This is more of an Elduque fade more than anything else. This line is way over inflated, and the yankees are not hitting yet. It is worth a small shot.

I look for Bartolo to come back to eath a little. He has never been able to string wins together and I think the Tigers are going to get to him early and often. Dmitri young is the perfect hitter against Colon, look for him to shoot a couple gaps and have a big day. Phil Garner's job is in trouble if they lose tomorrow. 3 unit play.

Last but not least
Cardinals (Morris) -115
Anytime I can a pitcher like him at odds like this I'm playing him. Against a rookie future stud. I like my chances.

Last year I had a $1500 bankroll for baseball, and had it up over 3000 by may 15, and kept it their almost all year. Finishing with a 2850 bankroll. This year I can't catch a break. But it is EARLY!!

Hang in there, Smash. I'm right there with you. Down 10 units the last 2 days. 8.7 overall. I seriously hope most are fading me right now. It will get better. We all have bad streaks, and the good ones will come, too.:toast:
