Will post as I cap them. . .

Texas +4 over Duke average

Funny how this matchup is at the very top of every sportsbook like Vegas wants action on this game. . . in my opinion, Vegas wants money on Duke. . . why? Anyone who tracks college basketball knows the Horns are without their "best" player. . . its been well documented. Yet this line is STILL inviting to take Duke. Even though Arizona dominated in this area, I think the Horns are a very quick team and much faster than Duke up and down the floor. I also think if you take Duke off their home floor then its a different Blue Devil team. Finally, I'm not impressed with Duke's defense. I think the Horns will have plenty of easy looks and I think they will outshoot the Devils plain and simple. You have the #10 team playing the #3 team on a neutral floor with the #10 team missing their star yet the line is only 4??? LOL I'll bite but not gonna put anything huge on this one.

I agree Duke is not going to defend Texas well, especially in NY.
Line looks low to me only because Duke "listed" as HOME team, and some may not realize game is neutral site. Texas should get some easy looks. Texas +4 now, line may go up late IMO. I'll wait and see if I can get 4.5

I know you may not have capped No. Carolina/Wake yet, but what do you think about Wake +4. No. Carolina hasn't beaten Wake in ACC battles over the last 2 years, including getting blown out a couple of times. Wake bench should outplay NC bench in the second half. Eric Williams is huge, should dominate inside late. Only slight worry is Roy Williams may somehow have a Magical Day in his first big test at NC.

What do you think?

I didn't mean to clog up your thread, but you usually turn a profit for me so I'd like your opinion.

Thanks & GL

You can clog my thread anytime you want! Wake/North Carolina is so difficult to cap for me. . . I want to take Wake because I think the Heels may be a little overrated but Wake hasn't really been tested yet. Personally, I think the line is pretty much right on.

Gl if you play it. . . if I had to, I'd take Wake but aside from a potential halftime bet, I think there are better games.

Murray St +10 over Pitt average. . .

I really like this Murray State team and 10 points is just too many here. . . Pitt will play tough D and likely take this game, but Murray State will do just enough and Pitt will miss enough free throws in order to keep this game close and within 10 points.

OK, & thanks

I have seen Seton Hall play a few times and they look real Strong.
Any insight on (THE) Ohio St. I enjoy listening to the game on local radio and may want a little action. Hall broadcasters are real entertaining.

Wisconsin -8.5 over Marquette average

These Badgers are a damn good team and they won't allow Marquette to get away with shooting the ball as well as they were able to against Arizona. I wouldn't be shocked to see a blowout here.

that murray state play is intriguing. theyre a solid team although not particularly tested. the more i look at it, the more i think youre dead on with the racers. could be a very live dog. plus, pitt is an obscenely bad free throw shooting team and that makes it tough to blow teams out when you cant hit free throws.

Funny....these are the two games I pinpointed myself!

Duke is young and Texas is experienced and a deeper team. In a neutral site game...I cant see how Duke is 4 points better.

And California has always had a nice home court advantage over the years, and it should be even bigger with a hot opponant coming in and the HUGE travel time for St Joes.

Good Luck to us!!!

For the Ohio State question, the Buckeyes are very mediocre. They can't shoot, and even though O'Brien wants them to play good D, the players seem resilient to do so. They barely squeaked by Furman last week, in a game that Furman played them even the whole game.

They have some talent in the back court but they haven't been able to shoot all year. The guards seem to be able to slash now and then but they are too content to sit beyond the arc and throw bricks.

Their big men are big, but very clumsey and nothing special. Radmonevic is their best and he has shown he can play, but his scoring depends on whether or not the guards get him the ball or choose to do it on their own.

OSU has been really bad on the road losing to San Franciscso and getting blown out by San Diego St. in Hawaii.

I have not seen Seton Hall, but OSU is not playing well enough right now to play with a good team. Against Georgia Tech at home, OSU lost by around 20, on a nite that GT didn't really shoot that well. OSU's lack of quality guard play really showed in that one.

Again, I'm not sure what the Hall has, but I would think twice about taking the Buckeyes on the road. Good luck all ;)

buttermaker,
unc hasnt beaten nc state in two years either....but it still doesnt make me want to put money on that wager....now, with that being said, yeah, i think wake is looking really good right now and i think the game could come down to the wire, 2 points either way, but not 4....im taking the deacs.....if you read this, hope i was at least informative, if not helpful....good luck

Texas really knows how to play defense eh. . .

Anyways, moving on:

Western Michigan laying 3 over Loyola Chicago BIG

I see a very big difference between the quality of these teams. . . even on the road, Western should have no problem covering this and winning by double digits. Western has also had a couple extra days to prepare for this one which may negate some of the home court advantage.

Thanks guys. . . nice to win the big play and keep us going despite losing with Wisky and Texas. I'm just not very excited about today's card. I don't see anything special. Still, here's the rest of my plays for the night:

Tulsa +6 over Wichita St above average

Wichita is playing great ball right now but Tulsa has had their number in the past. Tulsa also has a nice ATS record of 3-0 showing they rise to play good teams. . . I don't believe they overlook a Wichita team that has been impressive up to this point.

Cal +4 over St. Joes average

Cal in my opinion has not looked as terrible as many believe. I think they Bears get a win here.

Stanford pk over Zags average

I've followed the Zags so far this year but jumping off for this game.

UNLV +4 over Auburn average

Like this spot for the Rebels after blowing the 2nd half to an underrated NAU team.

That's all for me unless something comes up or a halftime play. Gl with the card today! We have much better days ahead.

Adding:

Virginia Tech -3 over Towson State 2nd half average

Towson State made all of their FGs from 3 point land! 21 points to be exact and 3 from the free throw line. They obviously can't do anything inside. I want to pound this, but will just play it average.
