Really busy this weekend -- might be back to cap the late games tonight but not sure.

Right now this is all I see:

Twinkies +116....Mulholland is showing at he's at least servicable, and we all know what Ponson's story is. Big Contract, let himself go to hell, and now is 4-12 with an era over 6. O's are bad against lefties, only 9-18 this year. Mulholland is 2-0 3.12 in his last three starts, so why not believe he can shut down the Baltimore Bats. He probably won't go all that deep, 6 innings max, but the Twins bullpen is one of the few that I trust. Solid doggy here.

Good luck all -- hope all of your picks are winners (unless of course you're backing the fat boy Ponson :jump: )

Well I drove all the way to Rutgers only to have my class cancelled :cursin: but at least I get to play the full slate.

Cards/Giants under 9 +106....had to play this at a doggie price. Tomko has been pitching well (3.43 era last three and 4.19 on the road) and Carpenter's situational stats fit the bill for a play too (3.15 home, 2.66 day games). I don't love Tomko's day era which is right at 6, but he's been pitching well as of late. Cards haven't seen Tomko since 2002 and the Giants have never seen Carpenter which I like. Pretty high total with a dog price tag.

Looking at a few others but wanted to get this in before the first pitch.

Padres/Dodgers over 7.5 -101....some numbers I like on this one. Padres are great vs left handers (18-9) and Valdez is brutal on the road (3-3 8.06 era). Both teams were pretty hot coming into this series and I think the situation lends itself to some runs tonight.

A's/Rangers over 9 -102....Dickey's era during the day is 8.55, 9.22 in his last three and 12.19 vs the A's. Saarloos has solid current numbers but his era is over 12 vs the Rangers lifetime. He did give up four earned over 3 and 2/3rds in his last start, but based on his previous few outings I can't bank on such a bad day. Hopefully Dickey holds true to form and I won't have to.

Cincy/Pitt under 8.5 +100...two hot pitchers and two poor offenses here. Harang's era over his last three is 1.35 and 2.05 overall vs Pitt. In three starts against them this year he's only given up three runs. Fogg's 2.81 era last three and 3.72 lifetime vs the Reds isn't too shabby either. Runs will come at a premium tonight.

That's all folks.
