Carolina played a tough game last nite in O.T. Philly rested and they have a very good home saturday record..I made a note to myself last week to take PHILLY at -1.5 at home on saturdays...but i really need to get out of this hole and i think the high ML price is warranted just for a one goal victory.

Dallas is back in their own division again where they do their best work on the road, for some reason...
Columbus can't seem to catch a break as they have scored two goals or fewer in 23 of their 35 games, going 1-19-3.I like to see dallas get back on track tonite against a "supposedly" inferior opponent.

Philly's excellent Boucher in the net tonight sez newspapers. Carolina will most probably use Irbe, tho he is 1-3 in his last four, and has 4-12-1 record vs Phil, with 2.88 gga, .901 pct. He was goalie in last meeting, Feb 19--and was pulled after he gave up 2 goals in 12 shots in first period. Phil won 4-0. They haven't used Barasso consecutive nights yet this year.

Carolina is over 10-4 on road this year. Last 3 have gone over. Under has hit 4-1 last 5 meetings with Phil. Irbe has gone over 8-3 last 11.

Dallas wants wins bad, after dropping two. Last one on controversial call, so they are pissed to boot. They don't seem to take inferior opponents for granted either.
