Litsch has just one win in his last 10 and is 0-2 in his last three with a lofty 5.65 ERA. He has surrendered 15 earned runs on 26 hits in his last 18 1/2 IP.

Litsch is 1-2 in his last four home games and is 4-2 overall at the Rogers Centre. He has relinquished 11 earned runs and two homers in his last four home starts.

The Blue Jays are 0-5 in Litsch's last five starts against the AL East and are 10-2 in their last 12 against the Red Sox.

Litsch got sent to Syracuse for a few starts after the All Star break. He made his first start back last Thursday afternoon at Detroit and pitched as well as he had all year. Hopefully that's an indicator he figured some things out - to be successful he needs to command the strike zone, and he did that pretty well in Detroit.

Litsch also handled these guys way back in April (even though he got a pile of run support in that one).

Jays are still 6-3 vs. the BoSox this year after last night's defeat.

Their bats are still pretty weak, but Rios seemed to FINALLY be coming around, Lind has been awesome since being recalled after Gaston took over, and Overbay showed some life last night.

I am obviously biased, but I think this has a real good shot today.

I watched that game and yes, he looked real good. I had Detroit that day. Rios is a sucker for that low and away pitch.
