Saturday:
4* Richmond (-4 1/2) over Morehead. Not that Morehead isn't capable. They beat Louisville in the first round. But try to find another signature win on their schedule. There is none, unless you count beating Charleston by 20. They lost at Florida by only 6. Richmond does have some excellent wins: Purdue, @Temple, and, of course, Vandy in the first round. Richmond's guard play is solid, defense solid. Richmond by 10.
4* Wisconsin (-3 1/2) over K St. Both teams have a few nice road wins. K St beat Tex, Neb, and Wazzu on the road, while Wis beat Mich, Marq and BC. However, K St tended to lose by a ton on the road when they lost, where Wis kept almost every game close. Wis plays better defense and turns the ball over very little. They make their FTs down the stretch. If this is a close game, I think Wis wins and covers.
3* Temple (+5 1/2) v SDSt. SDSt looks good on paper. But who have they played? They beat Gonzaga early in the season and beat UNLV three times and, the recent victory over BYU, without Davies. Other than those, though, not much. Temple has road wins at Dayton, Maryland, and Georgia plus home wins vs. Richmond, Akron, GeoTown, and SH. I think Temple's athleticism keeps this one close. Last possession decides the win.
2* Butler +7 1/2 v Pitt. Too many points. Butler's experience keeps it close.
