NCAA YTD: 17-10 (+5.94*)
NFL YTD: 6-6 (-0.86*)
Top Plays (included above): 1-1 (-0.15*)
I loved last week's NCAA and NFL cards, but I didn't want to jinx it by saying anything. The result was 13-3, and I got the benefit of a couple of games that could have gone either way, but like I said, I loved the cards last week . . . I'm feeling no such love this week, and just hoping to grind out a profit.
Stanford(-6') over Arizona State (1*)
- - Last Saturday Arizona State under HC Graham bagged their first victory in his two seasons over a team with a winning record, and did so in dramatic and controversial fashion . . . Stanford is loaded with studs at virtually every position, and this is the first big game they have been prepping for all season . . . I just don't see Arizona State with enough playmakers to take this decision to the final gun . . . I believe Stanford was -9 in this game before the season started, and I don't think the value now lies with the visitor at -6'.

Iowa(-15') over Western Michigan (1*)
- - At the start of the week I saw this game the other way, but not any more. Iowa has been a focused team since the first day of practice, and IMO they have "been up" for every contest. With some actual momentum under their wings, I don't think they are busy looking ahead on their schedule, but instead are looking to approach playing a complete game, and cash in on their opportunities rather than struggle to put points on the board . . . Western Michigan has faced a tough schedule, but I come down liking the chances of a prepared opponent being this much better today.
San Jose State(+4) over Minnesota (1*)
- - This outcome should be up in the air at the finish.
