iowa st (-19.5) 2 units. this line baffles me. akron is coming off a win at northwestern. iowa st opened with losses against iowa and oklahoma and they have tcu next week (followed by 2 more ranked conference opponents). hard to believe they'll be fired up to play the zips today. so this line is BEGGING for akron money. which means, SIGH, i gotta play the cyclones.

nebraska (ML) 1 unit to win 7.5. certainly not the start anyone expected for the scott frost era. but i'm just not sold on this michigan team. they did not look good at nd and they struggled to get going against a bad smu team. nebraska should be playing like a desperate team and they may have a shot to win this game.
minnesota (ML) 3 units to win .
under (47.5) 3 units. hill is only completing 51% of his passes, and that's not going to get it done against the gophers. i think they'll stack the box and make him beat them. on the other side of the ball, annexstad is a freshman making his first road start in his first conference game. we'll see a conservative game plan from minnesota (so what else is new?). i like the gophers to grind out an ugly win.
wake (+6.5) 1 unit. regardless of who starts at qb for nd, i like the demon deacons to keep this close. nd is playing their first road game, and they may get caught looking ahead to stanford. they are 0-3 ATS the last three years before stanford.
