northwestern (-3.5) 2 units. obviously this line is insane. but unless all 22 starters were at the bar until 4:00 AM, northwestern should win this game comfortably. sure, they are off a big win, but it's definitely not a sandwich game, as they have rutgers next.

neb/nw over (59) 5 units. if, somehow, nebraska keeps this game close, it's going to be because they turn it into a shootout. i love this game to fly over the total.

duke (ML) 3 units to win 3.1. duke is simply the better team. they should roll today.

illinois (+10) 2 units
illinois (ML) 1 unit to win 3.
over (64.5) 2 units. one thing illinois does well is run the ball. their top 3 guys all average at least 5.9 yards/carry. and purdue isn't all that great at stopping the run. or stopping anything, for that matter. on the flip side, illinois is terrible at defending the pass. so there should be a lot of points. if illinois can keep this somewhat close, they can keep running the ball.

Morning Smitty looks like football weather is here finally...My friends and i are with you on Northwestern and Illinois ....Northwestern game looks a little fishy but what da hell do we know..lol GL Sir....

richmond (-8) 3 units. let's see if i can stay perfect in CAA games. probably not. anyway, the albany defensive backfield is in BAD shape. both starting safeties were lost for the year in preseason. and at least two more are out for this game. one starter today was moved over from cornerback. during the game last week. so one of their corners today is making his first college start. why all the focus on albany's defensive backfield? because richmond likes to throw the ball. their new qb threw 5 INTs in his first start last week (and 3 TDs). it's very hard to imagine he's going to have that much trouble against albany today.

uva (+7) 3 units.
uva (ML) 1 unit to win 2.3. perry is making his first road start, and the hurricanes are coming off that huge comeback win againt fsu. this sets up perfectly for bronco to get his first win over a ranked opponent at uva.

michigan (-10) 2 units. i like the wolverines to get revenge for last year's loss at madison. if they can get a lead and force wisconsin to throw a little more than they want to, michigan will be in great shape.

colorado (+7) 3 units.
colorado (ML) 2 units to win 4.4. i know, i know, colorado has played a fairly weak schedule. but usc hasn't exactly been dominating teams. the trojans have beat one team by more than 4 points this year, and that was unlv. the buffs absolutely have a shot at winning this game. damiels has 4 TDs and 3 INTs on the season. and they don't have much of a running game to take pressure off him, only averaging 139 yards/game. on the other side of the ball, colorado is running for 198 yards/game while usc gives up 4.5 yards/carry.

oh, that's one of the fishiest lines i can remember seeing. and, based on the start to the game, maybe "someone" knew something. but if that game gets to 60 points, i will care a LOT less who wins.

I ACTUALLY LIKE PENN ST TO WIN BIG BUT I ALSO LIKED MY HOKIES TO COVER LAST WEEK....APPRECIATE YOUR OPINION.....I DO LIKE THE UVA PLAY...ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS LITTLE BROTHER IS 1st TEAM ACC PUNTER FOR THE CAVS....I STILL HATE THEM BUT ROOT FOR HIM....GREAT KID....GL :toast:

lunch pail, this game is a hard pass for me, both the side and total. this is not your standard psu defense, especially against the run. normally that would spell trouble against sparty. but this michigan st team really struggles to run the ball. they are 109th in the country, averaging 123 yards/game. on the other side, psu has a great running attack, averaging just over 6 yards/carry. but sparty only allows... are you ready for this?... 1.32 yards/carry. so mcsorley and lewerke are going to have to carry their teams. either one can, but i wouldn't put my money on either one. mcsorley is completing 53% of his passes, and lewerke has as many INTs (6) as TDs.

i guess, gun to my head, the best play is the under.
