northwestern (ML) 2 units to win 2.6. ok, i don't know how minnesota is favored in this game. maybe the wildcats are going to have a huge letdown after clinching a spot in the conference championship game. and maybe the gophers have really figured things out. but they're going to have to prove it one more time before i become a believer. northwestern has finally found a replacement for larkin. freshman bowser has rushed for at least 93 yards in each of his 4 games since becoming the starter. and that includes games against wisconsin, nd, and iowa, each of which stops the run a lot better than minnesota.
colgate (+9) 3 units.
colgate (ML) 1 unit to win 3.1. i'm actually looking forward to watching this game. the raiders are 9-0 and their defense has been insane. granted, they have played a lot of offensively-challenged teams, but i don't care if you're playing against the little sisters of the poor, these numbers are impressive. they are allowing 1.87 yards/carry, which leads 1-AA (or FCS, or whatever you wanna call it). they've given up one rushing td all year. and they've given up 3 tds total the entire season. 2 of which were the season opener. they went 29 straight quarters without giving up a td. they had a 7-game stretch where they allowed a TOTAL of 6 points. let that sink in. 2 FGs over 7 games! they've given up 29 points all year. obviously the big factor is going to be how they handle the option. but i think those smart kids from colgate can handle it. and one thing you normally worry about with a 1-AA team playing a D1 team, size, shouldn't be much of a concern here. i'm not going to look up army's linemen, but they are usually pretty small by D1 standards. this is the last game of colgate's regular season, and they'll be fired up to play the knights. after today, army gets a couple weeks off before they play navy. after easily handling lafayette last week, army may be overlooking a very good team today.
colgate/army under (37) 2 units. first team to 12 wins!
baylor (+1) 3 units. tcu never recovered from that ohio st game. i'm pretty sure they are 0-7 ATS since that game. it hasn't been pretty, but baylor is 3-0 in conference home games. as the bears rebuild their program, they'd like nothing better than a win over an in-state rival.
tcu/baylor under (50) 2 units.
holy cross (-9.5) 2 units. ok, one more patriot league game. georgetown is 2nd in the league at 4-1 (holy cross is 3-2), but holy cross has been much better this season. in conference games, they have outscored their opponents by 76 points. despite being 4-1 in the league, georgetown has been outscored by 2 points. i like the crusaders to roll today.
syracuse/nd over (64) 2 units. i think both offenses are going to have their way today. let's call the final score... 41-33.
the rest to follow...
