Phillies/DBacks under 9 ev. Strong under ump and Coggins has been sharping giving up only 9 runs in past 26 IPs. I think Batista will try to make a statement here to try to stay out of the pen and will give a strong 6 innings or maybe more. Both these guys will benefit from today's generous strike zone. A simple thought: young RHPs are worth a closer look because it's harder to get out of the minors throwing from that side. They all seem to have a good fast ball and a couple other solid pitches. Teams seem happy to bring up any young LHP who has a pulse. Think of all the young righties who have debuted with a really good game and continued that pace for a few more. Rolen is sitting again today.
