Giants-Giants are one hot team coming out of the starting gate and I do not think that the Padres(w/ Jarvis) will slow them down today. Last year Jarvis's numbers against the Giants read like this:0-2 in 14 innings with an ERA of 10.29. Lifetime vs. San Francisco he is 0-5. The Giant's Ainsworth makes his first start of the year today and lucky for him it is against the weak hitting Padres. Giants -150 best bet in the daytime action.
Marlins-Not much history with these pitchers in games played between the Phillies and the Fish. Beckett's record vs. Philly:1-0 allowing 2 runs in 6 innings pitched. Coggin vs. Florida:0-1 in 9.1 innings with a 8.68ERA. I give the edge to Beckett who has a good young arm. Hope he can go more than 6 innings today, which he has yet to do, because the Marlins bullpin is shakey at best. I think the Fish score enough to beat the Phillies in this one.
