Not a Sox fan (obviously) but do you really think "he's gone"? I began the season with a dislike for both him and Ozzie and despite their recent slide I have come away impressed with both. I don't get the Alomar and Everett moves but I like KW's agressiveness. Ozzie on the other hand is mostly good for some laughs and brutal honesty. Not saying I would prefer him over Dusty by any stretch but Dusty sure does not live up to his big contract and all of his accolades. I think the Cubs have played some of the worst fundamental baseball of any team this year.

In total agreement with IE on Williams' abilities but I don't think he'll get fired. The club makes money, though not Cubs type money. Ever since the white flag trade that's all it's been about.

A close friend of mine who has been a major league coach gave me the heads up on Kenny the day he was hired. At the time Dan Evans was the right choice, he didn't pan out in LA though, so maybe neither one was the correct choice.

site is fine now IE :)

On another note....
I highly doubt Kenny Williams is going anywhere in the near future. He dances well "for the man". I also believe, despite what he says, Reinsdorf has a bit more say in things than the organization would lead you to believe. I think the COB is trying to create a history for the organization were none has existed since Fisk was here. Ozzie mgr, Baines coach, Cora Coach, and keeping Thomas despite all the negativity he brings I think are all direct influences of Reinsdorf, not to mention Williams is working with a limited payroll.

I think there is a very good chance of Mags staying in a Sox uni next year ;)
