Some notes on this game. Copied from LSU fan site:

A few stats of interest going into the game: LSU is 23-0 under Les Miles when rushing for more than 100 yards per game. South Carolina has yielded over 100 yards in each of the three games they have played this season against ULL, Georgia and South Carolina State. They have given up 4.6 yards per carry including 5.4 yards per carry to UL-L who rushed for 252 yards. South Carolina State gained 196 yards against the Gamecocks. South Carolina's rushing defense was much better against Georgia than against UL-L and South Carolina State. LSU has averaged 5.3 yards per carry running the football against Mississippi State, Va Tech and Middle Tennessee State. To make matters worse for SC, one of their best defensive lineman will be out for the game. Most of UL-L and South Carolina State's rushing yardage came on inside runs and traps.

The Gamecock's offensive line is suspect when it comes to protecting the quarterback. The OL has only given up six sacks this season, but 20 hurries. Georgia had an amazing 17 quarterback hurries including several hits. South Carolina is averaging less than 200 yards per game throwing the football including five touchdown passes and five interceptions.

The Gamecocks are winning games by running the football. South Carolina averages five yards per carry and LSU's defense is allowing an average of only one yard per carry.

Cie,

Really like the visor boy this week. Think 16- is way too much. SC is pretty damn good, what do you think here

Seems like too many pts. LSU w/o top OL, Will Arnold, w/o top WR, Early Doucet. Flynn is not 100%. Looks like rain in the forecast, seems like that would neutralize speed advantage of LSU skill players and defenders.

I played SC. GL

I'm not sure what is going on, but LSU sustained another big injury this week. First, they lose Early Doucet for 3-4 games during last Friday's walk-through. Now, they lose starting DT Charles Alexander to a torn ACL sustained during non-contact drills. Marlon Favorite will fill in nicely @ DT, but the rotation loses a player. It may not be huge this week, but it will be huge down the road this season.
