I really thought after the elections the democratic party would see what the people wanted and they would move a little toward working together.

What the people wanted? If Rove didn't mobilize a couple hundred thousand jobless homophobes in Ohio by getting the gay marriage thing on their ballot as 'issue 1', then we'd be talking about President Kerry right now. That's fine, and that's how it goes, but everybody can save this 'mandate' BS.

And from what I can see, it isn't exactly a sign of 'working together' when Dubya mentioned 3x in the day after news conference how he now has 'political capital' and that he's gonna use it.

Who gives a damn what the rest of the world thinks of us.

Yeah, until we go to them hat in hand looking for their help to clean up our mess. It's this arrogant mindset that has us where we are.

Bush has done more than to reach out the last 4 years and what has he gotten back from it? the worst bashing in the history of the Presidency.....he spent more money on liberal programs than any other President in history

if I were him, I would tell the liberals to get the heck away until they changed their attitudes....after that bitter campaign, and getting their asses kicked

Good one, freeze. 'Done more to reach out'....lmao

'Getting their asses kicked'.....lmao...ummmmm, in case you missed it, it was a very close election with a few Ohio rednecks who were scared of gay marriage that decided it. It's funny hearing all the talk of 'getting asses kicked' based on the popular vote in 2004, but all the talk about how only the electoral college mattered in 2000.

If Kerry got his ass kicked this year, then Al Gore was elected in 2000.

Right, but nobody 'got their ass kicked' or won in a landslide. I see the point flew over your head, treynolds.
