"the bunker"
gator....just a question....

do you think he did it...be honest..

...thank whatever powers that be that it`s not necessary to have a polaroid to convict the guilty....or even physical evidence....because even physical evidence isn`t always enough.....

ask nicole simpson`s family...

there was a mountain of circumstantial evidence...whether you like that fact or not...`

that was one very devious dude that killed scott`s wife and planted her dead body 90 miles away in san francisco bay...just where scott happened to be fishing.....with cement weights...lol

quite a coincidence...

btw...how telling was it that the high profile lead attorney wasn`t around for the verdict?.....think maybe he knew scotty was going down?.....

that,imo,makes geragos look like s-it....

There was blood evidence he said he cut his hand fishing but his blood was in the truck and both his and lacys blood was on a bed sheet. yes was not lot of physical evidence but sure was lot of circumstantial evidence like 2 bodies washing up with in 2 miles from where he was fishing 90 miles away from their house, what are the chances of that, that would be one hell of a frame job. I am sure you will hear more stuff after gag order is lifted. But no-way was this guy clean, for once they did get their person IMO to many people walk and like I said the blood and the body of 2 people washing up 90 miles from where their house was and just happened to be with in 2 miles of where he was fishing in a huge bay, that is not what I call something you can just say it could happen to anyone. No-way on that fact just alone. And his hand was bleeding from the time he cut it fishing pulled boat out of water got into truck drove 90 miles and just happened to still be bleeding on the bed and sheets??? Long time to bleed.

calling amber frey and telling her he was in paris when actually he was at a vigil for his missing wife. its hard to believe that anyone would have a problem convicting him. there is nothing sorry about it. a moron could see he did it.

last time i checked a mountain of circumstantial evidence wasnt enough to convict someone for two counts of murder. now i'm not saying he didnt do it, cause i think he did and IS getting what he deserved, but this wasn't a case of the legal system at its best. IMO its a case of a high profile case being decided by personal opinion of a jury rather then cold hard evidence. I've been following this for a while and i personally didnt feel the evidence showed he was guilty "beyond a reasonable doubt," which is what our legal system is based on. The prosecution didnt have that strong of a case due to the fact that there wasn't enough hard evidence that couldnt be doubted, but like i said i believe he did it and is getting what he deserves, but i feel this is a good example of the legal system getting lucky rather then proving its strength.... like i said just my own opinion

Why are some of you so happy that a person may lose his life at the hands of the state when you base your happiness on what the "liberal" media lets you hear and further when you do not see the proof first hand? Why is Dan Rather right today but was wrong yesterday?

Why is it that I even know about this story in southwestern Ohio? I mean don't you think that spouses die all over the world under suspicious circumstances many times every day? Could it be that she's white, cute and from a Leave it to Beaver type family and that he similarly is all of the above and on top of that apparently had an affair with a relatively hot blonde?

These concepts illustrate the point as to how the media can manipulate. It got all the sexy points, small town, white America, young, attractive couple with baby on way, murder, mystery, and of course the cheating husband while plump, chubby wife was making Christmas cookies. I mean this is what the media dreams of. If we are all in agreement that the media manipulates, then how the hell can every be so happy when you are only getting there juiced up, sexied up version of the facts?

The reality is that practically, no one has the time, (other than possibly Wayne or Freeze) inclination, or desire to sit through months of often tedious trial testimony. It would be like watching McNeil/Lehher. Hey, theres an idea, maybe the news with the spash (CBS/Fox/Msnbc et al) are the headline versions and we should be watching the boring shows and reading the New Yorker.

You know if you take out the murder part, I think you have a pretty good concept for a new reality tv series. I think most of the responses in this thread, from both my bretheren in the middle and the mentally challenged right, illustrate the following truism:

Our minds accept from the media those stories and ideas which support our own belief system and reject those stories and ideas that do not. We do not seek news to inform and enlighten ourselves but rather we watch news to support our pre-existing bias, beliefs, and philosophies.

WELL PUT GATOR.

VERY DANGEROUS. WE ALL KNOW HE MOST LIKELY DID IT BUT NOT STRONG ENOUGH EVIDENCE

GARDEN WEASEL SAID btw...how telling was it that the high profile lead attorney wasn`t around for the verdict?.....think maybe he knew scotty was going down?.....

HE HAS ALREADY SAID THERE WAS NO WAY IN HELL ANY JURY WOULD HAVE A VEDICT THAT FAST -HE WAS OUT OF THE CITY/STATE. REMEMBER THE 1 NEW JUROR WAS ONLY THERE FOR 1 .5 DAYS. IT WOULD TAKE WEEKS TO LOOK THROUGHT THE EVIDENCE.

OJ GOT OFF BECAUSE OF RACISM. TONS OF DIRECY EVIDENCE.

THE CALIFORNIA JUDICIAL SYSTEM IS LAUGHABLE AT BEST. MOSTLY BECAUSE OF THE CITIZNES THAT LIVE THERE. SORRY BUT THAT SEEMS TO BE A FACT

Not so fast Edward--While I tried to switch channels for past 2 years every time they showed this I couldn't help but getting the general details--and while the guy is very dispicable and lots of circumstatantial eveidence but I have yet to see any conclusive proof--do I think he is quity?-probably--but standing on sidelines, I sure would not want to be on jury--and speaking of juries--did you see the history on some of these??Where do they get these people??? I now see why "some" juries award millions to someone who puts coffee between their legs and then sqeals when they get burnt.

I guess the secrets out. There is this special group of people that make up the jury pools of our country. We plaintiff lawyers screen them to make sure that they always give away money because the corporations can afford it. We further make sure that they award money against doctors and hospitals based on bad results and not on malpractice.

Thats why us lawyers are so rich and the doctors are so poor. Thats why all the stuff you buy costs so much is because we have this neat group of people that we con and lie too and because there so gullible, we laugh all the way to the bank.

Yeah, that sounds like my normal monday at the office.

That game is impossible to handicap. The Browns are a very good home team and I would never lay 4.5 points on the road in the division reguardless of the teams. The Steelers APPEAR to be the better team, but it is never that easy and despite the current love affair the city and NFL has with Roethlisberger I still say it is impossible to handicap a game where the most important player has 5 games experience reguardless of how impressive those games are. Cleveland/Pittsburgh is always a fun game to watch and thats what I'll be doing in this one, just watching.

Now, back on topic......

As much as it pains me to agree with the disaster that is I love WR, I am curious how the guilty verdict was handed down with the lack of hard evidence, granted the circumstantial evidence is overwhelming, but I still tend to believe in the "beyond reasonable doubt" theory when someone may get the death penalty.

Pretty sorry when a guy is found guilty cuz a jury doesn't like him. Pretty sorry when a guy is found guilty because he is a liar. Pretty sorry a guy is found guilty cuz it sure looks like he did it but no physical evidence. Pretty sorry a guy is found guilty when not proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Pretty sorry a guy is found guilty when no murder weapon is found or no real motive is proven or no dna linking him to the crime is found. Pretty sorry a man can be found guilty because he is cheating on his wife who is about to have a baby and who has an insurance policy and there is no other suspect who may have done it. Pretty sorry a man is found guilty because everyone thinks he did it but can't prove it to be 100% true. I'm glad that everyone has added up all the facts and determined he is guilty. Now deal with it people cuz noone is safe. Hope you aren't near an unsolved crime and it seems as if you are the leading suspect because it seems like you did it and there is no other suspect. This is a joke and has opened the door for people to get convicted of a crime because "we" think he did it, not because "we" know he did it. You had better hope you are never near a crime because if they think you probably did it, then you must have done it. ......I;m gonna go hide now :scared

So we all believe in the law...except when we disagree w/it. Remember, we were not on the jury, etc., insert all the O.J. excuses here. P.S.- maybe we should riot and burn down 'ou'r part of town. One oundit was appalled& shocked that ppl were cheering the verdict. I don't remember the same being said@ Simpson'd acquittal- I could be wrong, but I don't recall any outrage.

Bottom line is that if it were me on trial no one could keep me from the witness chair to proclaim my innocence. Everyone would know about it. Peterson decided, w/attorney's advice, to hide behind our systems rights...and got convicted by that same system. How convenient- Now you don't like the system.

I agree that is the bottom line. When they are not willing to take the stand in their own defense you have to really question whats behind that.

I am glad they did not let him walk but hope they don't have the state kill him, IMO that is to easy he would be spending 23 hours a day for the rest of his life in lock down alone if he does not get the posion point, that is much harder then the fast death, it would be one thing if he was sent to prision where he was able to have a yard and free to go walk around or work and have rec and free time for 14 hours a day smoke what evr he wants, yes it is jail or prision but not like lock down 23 hours aday alone the rest of his life. Even if he did get sent to a prision with gen pop but he is not eligable for that he would be killed most likely, prision and inmates are funny they hate rappiest and child killers. but the 23 hours aday in lock down all alone is far more worse then the point, but the cost is also way more on tax payers.

You have to be sick to kill someone unless in self defense, but even more sick to kill your wife and unborn son. I do feel bad for both families though no-one wins in this, remember scotts parents were also soon to be grand parents of conner. this is not justice there is no justice in anything like this but least he will suffer to bad 2 famlies also have to suffer. but if they stick him and let him go out easy I say he got off to good then, he should suffer the hell of lock down for life.IMO again.

Also if people think he was set up come on look where they were found less then 2 miles from where he was fishing, the set up story will not fly for me.

COULD NOT HAVE BEEN PUT ANY BETTER...I THINK THE DEATH PENALTY IN CALIFORNIA IS PROBABLY THE TOUGHEST BECAUSE NOT ONLY DO YOU KNOW YOU HAVE TO DIE AT THE HANDS OF THE GOVERNMENT, BUT YOU HAVE TO WAIT SOME 20+ YEARS TO DO SO...SO FOR 20 YEARS YOU CAN THINK ABOUT YOUR CRIME ALL BY YOURSELF WITH NO CONTACT WITH OTHER INMATES WHO COULD MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOUR SITUATION...23 HOURS ALONE KNOWING THAT YOU COULD HAVE AVOIDED THIS BY NOT KILLING A INNOCENT WOMAN AND YOUR OWN SON...THEY DIDNT HAVE A CHANCE TO LIVE A GOOD LIFE, AND NOW YOU WILL BE FORCED TO LIVE THE WORST IMAGINABLE LIFE POSSIBLE ...THAT OF I IN A CELL FOR MOST OF THE DAY
