Scratched my cornea(s) three times by misusing my contacts back in the day - would DJ and then party all night, sleep/pass out, get up, rush home, cook the contacts (allergic to the regular solution, had to heat-clean them), then throw them in the freezer to be able to wear them before heading out to golf, then back after golf and do the same thing before heading back to the DJ job, and repeat. Every so often my cornea would end up scratched, and it hurt so bad. Finally, after the third time, I gave up on the contacts - and not the ridiculous lifestyle.

My sympathies to you - it hurts so bad. I've developed a condition now later in life - something called Iritis or some other name - a kind of arthritic condition that flares up every once in a while, kind of the same kind of feeling that has to be medicated with two kinds of drops - a dialation drop which makes me incredibly sensitive to light, and a buffered pain drop of sorts. If I catch it quick enough, it goes away in a coupla days. If not, it gets really painful.

Hang in there, man. Sounds like a bad "scratch."
