I believe most of us here at Jacks had a winning season. I want to thank Jack for having the patience to let this site develope into the top cappin site on the internet. Jack, I'm not overlooking the fact that you and IE have put a hell of a lot of hard work into it over the years but I'm also sure there were times when you wanted to say "the hell with it" Thanks for hanging in there.
WLA went 5-3 yesterday and wound up the season over 60% which ain't bad for plays based just on umps and crews. Last year did better but I also took other factors into account. I wound up 90+ units which was short of my goal of 100+ but as of two weeks ago was hopeing to break 50. Never was behind but just couldn't seem to sustain a run of any kind.
A couple of things about the play-offs. The umps will be of little or no use. In fact, they might get you into more trouble than they are worth. Straight, hard cappin is the only way to beat the play-offs. Don't let you heart get involved. Pitching wins play-off games and it's pretty safe to say that if you play the unders you should come out ahead. I'll be picking my spots and not playing just because it's the only game in town.
