You said it my friend. Everyone here at MJ is here for one thing and that is to make educated bets to WIN MONEY.
I feel for the bettors that had the Packer's tonight but there are many calls that go one way or the other and the Seattle backers just happened to be on the right side of it tonight. We're here to win money and some of us did just that.
That call was horrendous but Vegas told us bettors that Seattle was the play and some of us listened. One way or another, Vegas always wins. I will continue to side with Vegas and take every hint they give me.
Great 6-0 night tonight for me. I had all kinds of silly money on Seattle and it ended up panning out. In a rather harsh way but a W is a W and that's what I'm here for.

That is ridiculous. Unbelievable that people really believe this shit. You can make up all kinds of stuff that Vegas "tells you". It is all imaginary. Vegas wins because the odds are in their favor. Not because they know more than anyone else. Most operators in Vegas are not sports people, they are numbers guy. To believe the bullshit above is foolish and the writer is trying to brag about his vast knowledge of the inner workings of Vegas. Bullshit.
No one is claiming to have "vast knowledge of the inner workings of Vegas". In addition to capping a game, its worth a look to see the percentages of who is on sides and totals, late line movements and at times to go against the public. You'll win more than you lose by using this strategy. Its not a guarantee, but the bottom line is Vegas wins more than they lose vs Joe Public.
Actually, Vegas wins because of the vig and because bettors like to bet parlays and teasers and buy points and all those things that give an additional advantage to Vegas, not because they win sides or totals.
If you truly tracked line movement, I contend you would find that it would provide no advantage to the bettor.
Here was the line movement for the game:
Opening line GB -6 O/U 46.5
72% was on Green Bay, and it was 50-50 on the total. The line had dropped to GB -3 and 45 before kickoff.
My best play was on the under. I had the game capped at around 37 to 40. Seattle is a tough team at home and was getting 3.5 and 4 at my two books. So I played Seattle and the under based on where I had the total and liking the tough home dog. With the reverse line movement and with the public being all over the Pack, that helped seal the decision on Seattle, so yes, the line movement did show me that Seattle was the right side if you were siding with Vegas and going against the public.
Easy to say after the game. There are just as many with the same line movement that come out the other way.
How is that? I called it BEFORE the game, not afterwards. You should just stop your whining. You're a biased Packer fan and the outcome isn't going to change. I understand that your pissed. Anyone would be if their team got jobbed on a call like that, but let it go, man...
