Seattle has played 4 playoff teams this year. One of those games was against the Colts back ups for the most part. 2 of those game were very early in the season. In those games, Seattle went 2-2, with one of the games being a 3 point home victory of NYG and the other at home against Colts, who in my opinion did not care about the game much considering the circumstances, etc., Dungy, etc.

Seattle gave up an average of 5.4 yards a play in those games, a half a yard higher than its season average against the likes of 49ers, Cards, etc.

Washington has played a total of 7 playoff teams counting last weeks wildcard game. They have won 6 in a row also. They give up the same 4.9 yards per play as seattle. However, they have given up only 4.5 yards per play in their 7 games against playoff teams.

No saying Seattle is a bad pick, but I am taking the hot team with the better defense in my opinion.

I would be worried about the Redskins passing game right now with Brunell's injury he hasn't looked good lately. If Ramsey were playing right now I would think about the Skins. The Seattle weakness is their pass defense and right now they cannot take advantage of it.

If Washington doesn't win this weekend, Seattle will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Chicago can't beat Seattle because they can't score. I don't care how great the Bears' defense is. The Panthers can definitely beat Seattle, but not when they would be playing their fourth straight road game in the NFC Championship game.

Look how Seattle has fared against Teams that have some kind of D........Also if the Panthers can definately beat the Seahawks why can't the Bears, who dominated them?.......The Seahawks are just as vulnerable as any other NFC team

Dice, Seattle has the #2 ranked offense in the NFL. Carolina can score more than 20 points, Chicago can't! Unless of course, the Bears' defense scores 3 defensive touchdowns. I wouldn't hold my breath!

Seattle scored 14 vs jags
13 vs dal
17 vs redskins
21 vs falcons
24 vs giants

Bears D is better than all of them, I'm not saying the Seahawks O isn't good, its actually well balanced but look at the D's they played, Rams twice, 49ers twice, Cardinals twice, texans, titans, Colts 2nd and 3rd stringers and finally the Eagles decimated team where they scored 3 defensive tds

Okay, the lowest point total listed is 13. The Bears' defense is better than those defenses. So let's say Seattle only scores 10 against Chicago. Well, then Chicago will score 9 or less. The Bears aren't going to outscore Seattle Dice! I know you're trying to convince yourself that they can, but they can't. Sorry bro, your Bears aren't going to the Super Bowl. It was a great season though!

doesn't the fact that wash. is getting 9 points to a team that it already beat mean anything ?

wash. is in a bad spot.....they just had a very physical game where some of their players got hurt or reinjured themselves & they are playing their 3rd straight road game & crossing across the country....

remember jax. looked very good last week getting 7.5 or 8.....& we know what happened.....

be careful if anybody is going to unload their funds on wash....now they may cover or even win..we all know anything is possible...but i will be surprising to me if seattle doesn't win this game comfortably......

Hey livin large, don't go to sleep on grossman, granted not much to go on, however looked a ton better than ortman. And by lovie keeping him out of the minny game, not much flim on him. Element of surprise will be key....think they surprise many and put up some points and let the d protect it.

I hear ya AR and I wouldnt recommend anyone unloading on a beat up Wash team.......But I still think they will be physical and won't lay down with Gibbs as their coach, but who knows they could be down by 14 and the players just might throw in the towel, if i knew I wouldnt be working.......

But I think the 9 pts is a reflection of a team that in reality has been in the playoffs for the last 7 weeks, an Offense that put up 120 yds last week and we keep getting fed that it was the lowest ever by a winner, they are a 6th seed and now have to fly across the country to face a well rested team who hasnt lost at home.......Who would take the skins at 3 to 4 pt dogs, its already at 9.5 on its way to 10.......at 10, isnt that value for a top 5 defense in which the offense took a rest last week?....the Offense was due for a total piss poor effort.....I say they get it back against a mediocre Seattle D

Tcon, I'm not sleepin' on your boy Rex! I know he has talent, but he's started 8 games in the NFL. I guarantee he will throw at least 3 picks this weekend!

point taken livin large, but don't think he'd get the chance to throw three, feel that smith will pull in the reins and keep it on the ground if he proves ineffective. I don't normally like a rookie qb come play off time, but with a d to make any mistakes less costly he could do some damage. Carolina and the chip on their shoulder from the last visit to soldier field worries me a bit, but should be a great game either way. gltya

Oh, he will definitely throw the ball at least 3 times, because Carolina will shut down the Bears' running game. If Manning threw 3 picks against Carolina, then Grossman will certainly throw at least that many. You can bet with me if you want to gjn23. Just let me know!

granted great defensive stand in ny. but guaranteed that if he throws two pix in two throws, he won't be in there to throw the third.
