SEC bowl challenge

Last season, I accepted a challenge put out by STWoody regarding the success of the potentially overrated SEC in bowl games. The wager was whether the SEC would win 6 of 9 bowl games straight up. Not sure if anyone is interested, but I am looking to place the same wager this year.

Since the SEC is overrated in the eyes of many on here, I figure there will be a line around the door to accept the challenge. We can do it for fan gear from the MJ's sponsor so the house can collect 10% ;)

Any interest?

No spread involved? I'll take it Cie. I think we actually only win 4 or 5.

Yes, straight up. I would have thought someone outside of the SEC would jump at it, but let's get it on.

What do you say, we play for an an item less than $50?

I like the bet, accept I'm on your side CieGrant. SEC doesn't get the respect it deserves. People overshadow it because they see teams with 2-3 losses and think they're wasteside, but they don't see how tough it is week in and week out.

At first glance, I like Tenn, Aub, FLa and UGA to win. That would leave me 2 wins short with Kentucky, LSU, Miss St, Arky and Bama out there.

I like Kentucky's chances behind their senior QB, and I know they also needed the rest to heal.

After looking around a bit on this and other message boards, I am noticing that Ohio state has plenty of support. I lean to OSU +5 early, but I am thinking that a healthy LSU team might surprise some folks in January. All of the close wins are looked at in a negative light by many, but it is well-documented that LY FLorida had a bunch of close calls en route to a Nat'l Title. Of course, FL has a big edge over LSU @ HC. So does Ohio State for that matter;)

Bama needs to win to keep from a losing season.

Coachless Arky is playing against a dissapointed Mizzou, and I think Miss St is just happy to be there.

Cie - - I like you. You're one of the few SEC fans that I like, because you don't let emotion get in the way. I do think the SEC was the best conference this year... However, I do think they got some tough draws...

What are we playing for...?

Thanks for the words.

I am open to suggestions, but I am thinking $50 - $100 Ruth's Chris gift card.....amount is up to you:shrug:

Otherwise, we can pick out fan apparel from MJ's sponsor. If we go with this option, I would prefer to keep it to $50 for sure because I am already stocked with LSU fan apparel .

Let me know:weed:
