another end of game botched clock mgmt by a coaching staff the probably likes to talk about how many hours of film work they put in every week......yet have no FUCKING CLUE how to manage or work a clock.

spike the fucking ball on the 8 yard line, get organized and give yourself 2-3 plays to win the game.......instead they take 6 seconds to snap it and then of course complete it in bounds

morons, most every coach at every level when it comes to counting, math, clock mgmt and timeout useage.....been saying it for 20 years and nothing has changed,,,,, well the coaches do get paid 10x the amount they uses to.

there were 15 seconds left. clocking the ball wouldve gave them 2 plays, and an incomplete pass instead of clocking it would still give them another play. would have had 2 plays regardless.

by not clocking it you prevent alabama from changing personel which could have been the reason for not doing it.

in any case, there are a lot of head coaching jobs open and I think some guys on these forums should throw their hat in the ring. we have a surplus of Vince Lombardis here at Madjacks. :toast:

i know i cant "coach" better than any of these gusy

i KNOW i can manage a clock better than ALL of these guys, even nfl coaches.

15 secs, snap, clock, 13-14 secs....absolutely 2 plays min left maybe even 3 plays left

substitue personnel??? bama had their pass defense out there and WHO CARES.....you need to MAXIMIZE the clock not worry about opposing personnel........it's simple yet these guys make it so hard.....hell they had the wr who caught the ball running to murray as the refs started the clock getting the play then going back the direction he came from and ran into the same area as the wr on the outside......completely botched situation.

The clock was maximized. He had two shots at the endzone no matter if he clocked the ball there or not. I was hoping they would stop the clock because bama was back on their heels, I didn't want them to run another quick play. The ball was tipped at the line is where this all went wrong. Murray was throwing over the shoulder into the endzone and a Bama LB tipped the ball and the receiver in the flat made a bonehead move by catching the ball...he should've knocked it down. I don't disagree with Richt's decision not to clock it at all...if it had worked he'd be a f'n genius on here..

really?

no chance to run 3 plays in 14 seconds from the 8 yard line????

by running it like they did, they were confuse and had 1 guy running in the flat with 2 defenders and 1 wr running a potential fade with 1 defender

i'd agree with you if there were 3-4-5 seconds left after the first down and it was 1 play no matter what but with 15, they needed to be organized and they werent as they were running guys on and off the field.....horrible execution

Of course they will. It will take the entire month to prepare for all the gadget plays. ND is used to teams that just line up and try and beat you man on man.
Look Guys!!! Get the camera honey!....Wow! An arrogant Notre Dame fan.... I haven't seen one of these since the 80's at best....extraordinary..

if you're that WR there at end

if you're that WR there at end

- do YOU catch the ball????!!! i bett you do....natural reaction s'what i'm guessing

clearly wasnt meant for him, instead the streaking sideline (covered) receiver, though it being tipped, receiver just reacted - didnt have time to go over do's and dont's of situation (in his head).

if you clocked it, you could possibly tell everyone - EZ or dont catch it unless YOU KNOW (clear path) get in EZ, even then ball shouldnt be thrown short of - though it wasnt thrown short of... just tipped.

tough last play of game... i had no rooting interest, though fun to watch ending (and cringe, for wr)

though was shocked when he didnt clock it

This could possibly be the most lopsided NC game in history :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

Seriously??? Sorry But Bama's Defense is far from impressive..They are nowhere near as good as people say they are..ND no doubt has the better D and will win the title game...How u get lopsided is beyond me,

Had Georgia so did not matter BUT spike the damn ball with 13-14 seconds left and u can huddle..Who cares if bama can substitute..Georgia would have gotten 3 plays to win it....Coaches fault..He needed to tell Aaron to spike it and regroup

you are not even bright enough to know that Betone is being sarcastic and bashing Bama

and yep bright enough to say that Bama defense is not good

BOTH coaches made BIG mistakes ... Nick not calling TO before end of 1st half ... Richt for not spiking the ball at end of game

gonna be a fun month before the BIG GAME :popcorn2

thinking may be a wager in our near future my Irish friend :0074

and dont make me find that pic of you wearing a Tide T shirt :mj07:

10.5 points ...... Maybe for the first half

I had a bama shirt in the Steve and Barry days. It could have just as easily been a Texas Tech or Wisconsin shirt.

Those were the days when no one wore Bama shirts. They're everywhere now.
