Bama sustained injuries @ SC last week including possibly severe groin issue (may be a hernia) for RG Fluker (out at least 1 game) and a broken bone in the hand of Julio Jones (my guess is he'll play)

Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones received a broken left hand against South Carolina. If Jones withshtands the pain, he may be able to play this week against Ole Miss. Starting Tide offensive tackle D.J. Fluker may miss both the Ole Miss and Tennessee games with a groin injury. Alfred McCullough would replace Fluker in the starting lineup.

Tennessee has been installed as a 2 point underdog to BYE week. Failure to get the correct # of people on the field 3 straight weeks led Vegas in this decision.

Count Dooley(see above for pic) had this to say on govolsxtra:

"Coach Derek Dooley acknowledged the substitution mistake Sunday on his weekly teleconference, though he wasn't sure whether it occurred on a field-goal or extra-point attempt. Walsh's kick, which extended Georgia's lead, 27-7, was from 20 yards, just 2 shy from where extra points are attempted."

You cannot even make this kind of stuff up and it be believable:mj07:

Ole Miss talking smack!!!

"I think they got exposed," Ole Miss senior defensive lineman Jerrell Powe said Monday. "They showed they're just a one-dimensional team. They run the ball really well. I think South Carolina did a good job of stopping the run, and they really couldn't get anything going after they got stopped."

Junior running back Brandon Bolden previously had seen a sign of weakness in Alabama.
"It all started with Arkansas," he said of the Tide's 24-20 come-from-behind victory on Sept. 25. "Alabama, of course, came back at the end, but Arkansas started with that blueprint. We could see South Carolina follow it."

So now the Rebels (3-2, 1-1) have a blueprint to follow?

"Definitely. Most definitely," Powe said. "We definitely know they're going to try to run the ball on us, but that's what we like."

Never mind that Ole Miss ranks last in the SEC in scoring defense (32.6 points per game) or 10th in total defense (362.2 yards per game). South Carolina ranks 11th in the SEC in total defense (365.0).

Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones practiced Tuesday just two days after having surgery on a broken hand. Reportedly, Jones was catching pass es with one hand during drills.

Running back Jeff Demps, who missed Florida's game against LSU with a foot injury, is expected to play this week against Mississippi State. Personally, I question how explosive he will be.

More OL issues for Ole Miss:

Freshman center Swindell will get his first start Saturday against Alabama. He is replacing injured A.J. Hawkins.

Florida running back Jeff Demps had a setback with his foot and is now questionable for the game against Mississippi State on Saturday. Also, No. 2 back Mike Gillislee will probably miss the game with an injury. The only healthy back is Emmanuel Moody!!!

Mississippi State wide receiver Leon Berry is out for the year with an injury. The Bulldohs now have only sophomores and freshmen at wide receiver. Startign center J.C. Brignone has a knee injury and is questionable for Saturday's game at Florida.
