They are 6-0 in SEC home games, have won 8 straight at home overall, add the revenge factor!
Alabama plays its first road game since winning
their 20th game, a good letdown spot considering
that LSU needs every win possible right now to
gain consideration for an at-large berth to the
Big Dance. LSU plays tough, man-to-man D and that
will help to lower Alabama's good, three-point
shooting percentages, disabling the Tide's ability
to break the game open

Always like your plays! But I think everyone is bying into this LSU hype a lilttle too quickly. Bama has one of the best starting 5's in the country and are extremely underrated. The key to this one will be rebounding. Bama has a tendency to start slow and get behind and try to make up for it in the 2nd half, and they usually do. Not tonight, if they get behind early and are losing on the boards, dont believe they will be able to come back. If they start off well and dont get behind, they will win. Opportunity for a nice 2h play!

GL tonight Ray!

Along with the normal rustiness associated with lack of practice continuity during the All-Star break, leading scorers Kobe Bryant and Paul Pierce each spent the weekend in Denver for the game and its festivities. Since then, Bryant has flown across the country to attend a family funeral. He missed the Lakers? practice yesterday.

The Lakers have brought in some new assistant coaches in the wake of Rudy T?s departure as head coach, guys with multi-year ties to the Lakers like Brian Shaw and Kurt Rambis. A change in offensive philosophy is imminent, and without having practiced on Monday, Bryant is unlikely to be The Man in this particular scenario against a non-conference opponent. He is a terrific defender, though, and so is Boston?s Gary Payton when he wants to be.

The Celtics had three guys in Denver overall last weekend ? Pierce, and two rookies, Jefferson and Tony Allen. Jefferson has become a good low-post scorer, but now he is on the radar and teams will run an extra guy at him ? not a good situation for a rookie. Off his head-inflating All-Star weekend participation, once again, not a good situation for him. Very suspect offensive flow for a Boston team that re-united in LA and must play 3,000 miles from home to begin the second half of the season

LSU is 11-1 SU and 10-2 ATS this year at home, with wins over such teams as Arkansas, South Carolina, Miss St and Florida. They have won two in a row over the Tide at home, by four each contest.

As for the Tide, they are only 5-10 SU and ATS their last 15 as a road favorite of three or less, and are 4-6 ATS on the road overall this year. They lost at Florida, 85-54, a team that LSU just recently beat on Saturday by four at home.

LSU pulls off the mild home upset over the ranked Tide tonight.
