Yes, and each and every one of those teams is overrated. I am absolutely flabbergasted that the National Title game hasn't moved down at all. What a fricking joke! Remember, this Alabama team lost AT HOME! They also almost barely squeaked by a Georgia team that had all it could handle for 3 quarters from a pretty weak Nebraska team. It's really too bad for the Big 10 that their two best teams were banned this year. The SEC wouldn't even have one of their overrated squads in the title game if it wasn't for a flippin' tattoo parlor...

@Corley I don't start this every year. I actually like watching SEC footballl.. I just don't like the media dick-sucking of the conference at any time, and this year when it is obviously down it is particularly annoying.

Maybe you're right. I don't know
We will find out in less than a week

Only thing is when you win every year you earn a little "media dick-sucking"
I'm just sitting back on my couch and enjoying the BJ that my team is getting

Maybe if you're lucky one day. Maybe you can get a BJ as well

I'm talking about the SEC THIS year. There are six good teams and eight average/bad teams.

The SEC had six teams in the top 12. The rest of the SEC's record against those six teams: 0-30. Not a single win by the bottom eight teams in the SEC against the top six. The league is top heavy and then to take in to count the cream puffs that are on the top teams schedule it is just that. There is a SEC bias with the ESPN hype machine no doubt. Dont like ND but will be rooting for them for sure.

Hash,

"this Alabama team lost AT HOME! They also almost barely squeaked by a Georgia team that had all it could handle for 3 quarters from a pretty weak Nebraska team." We hear this chit every year by the pretenders. ND squeeeeeeked out wins against the power houses of BYU and Pitt, hardly juggernauts. And their schedule was week to boot. JMO and yes I'm an SEC fan and believer.

And your 40 posts and track record of posting success picks make your opinion very valuable, too!

all valid points that the SEC is probably down, but its hard to say that Notre Dame would be 12-0 or 11-1 in that conference. probably 3 or more losses. their schedule, while it looked tough up front ended up with a ton of overrated teams. so if you think the sec was overrated and bama played overrated teams then unfortunately nd did too.

everyone is drinking up this 10 pt spread like its a gift from touchdown jesus himself. i would be wary, guys who set these numbers know what they are doing.

So you don't agree that the SEC is down and overrated this year? That's not a view; it's a fact. Even most of the SEC fans will admit that. To fail to admit that is a sign of blind loyalty and weakens your opinion. Good luck to you, but if you are playing Bama, I hope for your sake it is money line. They are going to learn what it is like to play an SEC defense of years' past on Monday.

LSU also had an offense that sucked badly. The Irish offense has a QB. Alabama didn't have to worry about that last year. Notre Dame had to face the Stanford D, which is on a level with Bama's IMO. Like I said, I hope for your sake you didn't lay that number. :scared I won't be shocked if Bama wins, but it will be a dogfight either way. I'll take the team that doesn't know how to lose in that case.

so what you are saying is this is free money at +10? what, like an 80% chance of a cover maybe even more? that means i should put roughly 40% of my roll on it right? i mean, how often do you get something at -105 odds that is an 80% chance to cover. this sounds incredible. i'm going to start loading up now. i will also let anyone else i know who played bama they should cancel it and join me, because they have very little chance of winning their wager.

There are no facts here, only opinions. You have yours, I have mine. The SEC may be down, or even over rated. Purely subjective in the eyes of the beholder. Lets see how the SEC teams stack up against the rest of the country in the bowls. I've heard this chit for years and at the end of the day, SEC rules, respectfully,

Okay, let me rephrase that. All the SEC fans not blinded by Alabama moonshine will admit that the SEC is down. Good grief. How can you deny that fact? If it is an opinion, it is a majority one. In case you are not familiar with the way the world works, once enough people agree on an opinion, it becomes a fact. That is how the body of knowledge mankind has built up was created. The vast majority of people agree the SEC is down this year. That is a fact!

If Alabama covers the spread, I will say good game. If they win by a touchdown, I will say good game. If ND is within a TD, I will say I was right. After all, the mightiest team in the mightiest conference should lay waste to Notre Dame, right?

At least you can admit that Alabama is the mightiest team in the mightiest conference. Peace brother,

Hashman, I say this with total respect for you and your capping skills. You're one of the best if not the best on MJ.

Ya missed this one, SEC is and will continue to be the dominant conference for years to come.

Happy New Year

Agreed, and congratulations on a great, well-deserved victory. I flat out fucked this one up. I will still argue that the SEC was down this year, but the bottom line is that this Alabama program is in a class all its own. They are now an official dynasty. Congratulations to Alabama fans and bettors.
