Recent Trends:

The Devils are 22-6 ATS overall after a loss.
LEAN to DEVILS
The under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings.
The away team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings.
LEAN to DEVILS

OTT is 11-5 ATS playing on two days rest.
LEAN to SENS
The over is 4-1 in Ottawa's last five overall.
OTT is 42-18 ATS after a win overall.
LEAN to SENS

I have a Sens future for them to win the East Conf. @ 6-5 so I didn't lay the -130 for the Sens to win as I was getting plus money for my future.

I think the Sens win the series as they are deeper and faster but experience goes to the Devils. I think this series goes a minimun of 6 games but I just don't see the Sens loosing at home tonight. Throw in the fact that Jersey did the extra un-necessary traveling after G1. I know it's not a time zone change or anything like that, but it seems like it's something extra the Devs had to do while the Sens sat, rested and waited for G2.

I see many on the Devils tonight. I'm torn  - don't know which way to turn on the side tonight.

Might just pass and enjoy the game. Let's see what inside juice HORNS has to pass along.

Good luck all

mugs - Great info! I do like the Sens tonight but more with my heart than with my head. Love the under tonight though. Still, it would not surprise me to see the Sens win tonight, when you see NJ making 2 changes on D and not due to health reasons that is alot at this time of year. You don't panic after one loss but 2 big changes like that is showing a bit of panic on the Devils part. Who rotates in 2 new bodies after G1 in the playoffs, not many this year and I doubt any team has done that. Should be a great game. GL

HORNS:D

Good luck tonite, mugsy. JMHO, definitely agree with you if you already have a futures bet on Ott, the best thing is to just watch and enjoy the game tonite. I'm taking NJ because I think this series at least goes 5, 6, so NJ has to take a game or 2 here and there. We also have this overwhelming historical trend on series starting 1-1, and NJ being a playoff savvy team getting +$$$$ in return. If NJ wins, I get some extra dough in the bankroll, if they don't win, then Ott is up 2-0, and the series is more than likely over and I still have that huge play on them to win the series. Just my 2 cents:D

The Devils, who returned to Canada yesterday after their Mother's Day weekend in New Jersey, have lost the first game of a playoff series 14 times. They are 7-7, but have an 11-3 record in Game 2 after a Game 1 loss.

i'm leaning on Devils, no bet yet but it's Devils or no bet.

Good luck

Pet - I have to disagree with your Devils or no bet statement.

Those past Devil teams have nothing to do with tonight's game. This year's teams have been up 2-0 in the first two series and haven't faces a team like the Senators. My Bruins - puh-leeeze, really they suck. Tampa was in new territory just getting to the playoffs. Both teams had one scoring line and hoped the 2nd and 3rd lines could chip in.

Last year's Devil team lost the first two games to Carolina on the road in the first round. If anything, using info past last year for a trend like that IMO isn't too much value. Even using last year's team might not be good enough. Too many player and coaching changes (Pat Burns) to use older info like that.

I don't mean to sound like I'm jumping on your throat - I'm not.
I'm certainly not the best capper in this group so I'm not trying to sound like a God. You have put up better numbers over the course of the season than I did - when I even put them up.

I just wouldn't make a pick on a game on a solely on a trend as old as that.

Again, that's just my opinion.

Best of luck with whatever you play, unless of course, it's the over tonight. :D

i agree with you about stats year or more older, it was just trend
that cought my eye reading nyj pages.

i still think that devils weren't that bad in first game,
they had more shots and game went to overtime.

too close to call, i guess i have to be happy with AC Milan to qualify... btw tomorrows best bet in any sport : Real Madrid to qualify against Juventus.

who are referees and do they allow rough style ?

thanks and good luck

Pet - I agree with ya on G1...The Devils didn't get outplayed by the Sens. And yes, I agree this is too close to call tonight. I was just trying to figure out if you were basing your decision on that one trend. If so, I was playing "devil's advocate" to help you see the other side. I re-read my earlier post - I kind of sounded like a jerk - sorry if you took it that way. Generally, that's not how I am and there aren't too many battles here in the PBox. I want to keep it that way.

Continued success in the playoffs

no problems mugs keep up the great work, i read your posts and try to take all informatoin you pour over here.

about soccer, qualification is played as a two game series and
Real Madrid won first game 2 to 1, so if they tie or win they go through to the final against AC Milan. If Juventus wins 1-0 Juve advances to the next round but if Real scores one goal Juve must score at least three goals to win series. And i really don't see that Juventus can shut down Real Madrid AND score goals.

Madrid to advance to the final is around -180, should be L-word.
