Lalime and Nurminnen are the starters tonight. They are going to rest Lalime on Sat. so this way he has 4 days off before they play Dallas on Monday.
Sens are bound to have one of those stretches that every team has in an 82 game schedule and now seems to be the time. After losing to TB they were lucky to walk away with a win last night. Still many things point to a Sens win tonight but I am going to go against all the stats.
Sens have won 6 or last 7.
Thrashers have won 4 of last 5.
8 out of the last 10 meetings have gone over the total.
Sens are 7-2 in their 3 game in 4 nights.
Sens have gone under the total 2 of three 3 in back to back road games.
Dafoe and McEachern are out for ATL and this hurts them as Mac is their captain and their best LW. Dafoe brings a little more confidence to the team in nets.
Sens rank in the NHL 2nd in PP, 11th in PK, 5th in GA, 1st in GF.
Thrashers are 6th in PP, 18th in PK, 30th in GA, 15 GF.
I see alot of parallels between both teams as Ott. hired Jacques in the middle of their 4th season and finished the year strong but still out of the playoffs, they then went on to go to the playoffs 6 straight times. Same thing with ATL as they are in the middle of their 4th season and have a great coach to lead them.
Could see this game going over the total due to ATL defensive shortcomings and talent level.
Still see ATL giving Ott. everything they can handle.
Playing:
ATL - PK(+200)1 unit
ATL +.5(+145) 1 unit
NYR - PK.(+120) 1 unit
