And so it begins... Nice to see some very good cappers back to the forums. It has been too quiet. Hope you all have a great year!
One play :
1. Appy St. TT over 19 (4 units).....I see a lot of people going with the Mountaineers in this evenings game. I tend to agree, as this looks like too many points. However, I will rest better putting my hopes on Appy to score at least 3 Tds. Been awhile since the Vols have punctured the top 10,and I know there are some very high expectations. Have much respect for Butch Jones and I believe he will have Vols playing for conference championship. However, this Appy team us no slouch. They are again favored to win the Sun Belt and return 17 starters from a squad that went 11-2 ly. They have won 17 of last 19 games and return a mobile dual threat Qb that will give Vols fits. Vols have too many question marks for me on Defense and they are young on the Dline although I conceed very athletic. They better strap it on because Mountaineers will throw pre-season player of the year, RB Cox. This kid could start for most programs in the Power 5 Conferences.
Will most definitely be playing in NFL.
You know your getting old when you can remember vividly the upset Mountaineers pulled in the big house in 2007. I was sucking down brews in John Ascuagas Nugget in Reno and had taken a flyer and played the ml that had been recommended to me from a Capper we called Coach. He's deceased now, but what a great day that was. I'm not sure Appy will pull the upset at Rocky Top, but I'm not sure Vols haven't started looking ahead to VTech next week.
