Yeah, great test of golf there. A guy is going to win a major without hitting a driver. WTF???

Tiger Woods= The slowest golfer who has ever lived....

The course is only playing 7,200 yards. It probably hasn't hurt his chances hitting over 80% of the fairways. I am sure that you could eat that motherfvcker for lunch.

It must be killing you that the insurance business is so lucrative that you would have to take a cut in pay to go out and school all of these guys.

The course is playing 5,500 yards. Only thing that kept them from shooting -20 is goofy ass pin placements yesterday and today. What the f*ck does that have to do with me or my ability? Its not hard o hit 80% fairways with long irons..

And I dont mean to take ANYTHING away from the great play of Tiger, just that I can see why they havent played this course in 30 some years. They even switched the order, #1,2,3 are actually the finishing holes, but Im sure you knew that with all your great golf knowledge.

Why in the fuk is Garcia dressed like a fukkin banana? I realize golf is not exactly a sport for real men. How else could some 14 year old girl be able to compete on the PGA? Somehow I don't think that could happen in the NFL. But this pussy shows up on Championship Sunday opposite Tiger in a banana suit. If I had coin on him at WSEX interactives I would have sold as soon as I saw that. He played like a banana too!

looking like curious george. I never saw him after the front nine. He was so far out of it they did not even bother showing him.

I am sure that there has never been another occasion when the order of holes was changed on a course for a professional tournament including a major. And believe it or not, I knew that the order of the holes had been switched for this tournament.

I believe that the R&A would be interested in your learned opinion on where to hold thier championship, and to also consult on course set-up.

Please indulge me in how you were able to come up with the 5,500 yard number. There is no way that I could ever know as much about golf as you do, so teach me to snatch the pebble master.

With the speed of the course, it was "estimated" that it was playing 5,500 yards by some "experts" early in the week. Guys that know more than you or I, guys like Dave Pelz and the like. Its not as if 7,200 is some sort or record for length to a major venue anyway. 14 or so different spots of in course out of bounds, and your winner shooting -18 and only having to hit 1 driver all week. Iron, iron to all the par 5s, doesnt sound like a major test to me, but the great names still rose to the top as they tend to do. Maybe if the wind blew it would have been different??? I for one hope they dont go back there for another 30 years though.

I realize that 7,200 yards on the card is common in the game today, but I would be interested in finding out how many times Woods and DiMarco hit wedges into the greens. It did not seem to me to be very often.

I also believe that Tiger used his 3 wood off the tee a few times, not that that makes much of a difference. With the way that those greens were holding (which makes sense with how hard and dry they were) I would be interested in what Tiger's GIR number was, even hitting mid-irons in.

Any way you look at it that was a very well managed 72 holes.

No doubt about that. Woods want hitting any wedges, because he was laying so far back. I dont know, it was different thats for sure.

So color me stupid, but with those "estimates", the average length of all 18 holes would be 305 yards. Using that assumption if Tiger did not hit a driver he would probably not need to hit more then 7 or 8 iron off the tee on most par 4's and still have a short wedge in.

If those were the assumptions that Rick Smith and Dave Pelz were using, that would explain why Mickelson played so well.

And yes, I will never know why, but I am jealous of you.

you obviously know little about championship golf and have not played on too many championship golf courses

that trek was tough as nails and to hit 80% fairways with your sand wedge on that garbage would be incredible

this was Tiger's best tournament win IMO the way he played and managed his game around the course....the field played well and if Tiger won easily which would have been a rout if he putted like Tiger on Sat.

Tiger is the best putter perhaps EVER and along with Jack the best competitor ever and this win exemplified it

course played 67-6800 yards not 5500 that is ridiculous you dont know what you are talking about

7200 yards on a goat ranch with mounds and bumps ready to knock your ball of course your irons must be hit with such precision from a hardpan fairway lie

the way Tiger moved himself around that golf course was most spectacular

the way he controlled the ball spin, angles, etc. etc. was phenomenal

in this day and age the way guy's drive the ball Tiger turned back the clock and played the game Hogan played but would have beat him by 10 shots
