I think a President should stand for not mangling the English language when speaking in public. I think it's important for a President to portray an image of intelligence and understanding of situations when in the public eye. Otherwise, it reflects poorly on the country.

But more to the point of your question...

I would like my Presidential candidate to stand for establishing an end game plan for withdrawing from Iraq (doesn't have to be immediate, just not the 100 year plan we are now hearing about).

I also would like to hear sensible ideas for reforming our health care system in some manner that will reduce and control the costs to the individual.

And finally, I would like to see some campaign finance reform, and more scrutiny of earmarks - and hopefully some reform in that area.

I think the first and third points would result in financial gain for taxpayers and the government, which would provide options for tackling some of the economic problems our country now faces moving forward. The economic stability of our country could be the most concerning thing future generations face...and could represent a real threat to our security.

That should get some people going...:SIB

I want smaller government and lower taxes along with protecting the country from islamic radicals. I agree health care in this country needs to be fixed, just not by a bigger beaurocracy, on Iraq the answer is not to withdraw right away, we need to set them up with a puppet government and then get out. It would take real men and women talking in an orderly fashion to get anything done in Washington, hopefully they can come to some sort of middle ground on these issues and make this country great again.

I have no earthly idea what this means:shrug:

What I do know for certain is K street must go.......you will find help with every issue you care about by eliminating lobbyists. As long as they draw breath, we are not a republic per its literal definition......good to see Chadman's brain is weather-proofed! JK there bud......stay warm!

I'll tell you, on Monday AM when getting up and getting ready for work, I thought I was going down for the count after battling the cold - some of the worst I've experienced in 12 or so years up here (can't remember exactly...ha). Feel better today, thankfully.

Almost in a better mood...but I get grouchy cabin fever every year about this time. Thanks for the warm wishes...we'll come out on the other side and once again enjoy a wonderful summer.

Good question HH:

I want my president to be able to use the armed forces of this country without the restrictions of a weak congress and demonstrate to the world the power of the US. I want our president not to be afraid to use the military whenever and wherever the situation calls for it when the interests of the US are threatened.

I want our president to be a God fearing man who is able to pray and get guidance from God when making decisions. I want our president to be guided by the Bible and is not afraid to say that this is a Christian nation.

I want a president who is a moral man and a church goer. He doesn't have to be an intellectual, as a matter of fact, I don't want him to be an intellectual as I don't trust intellectual presidents like Clinton, Roosevelt, Wilson and Lincoln.

I want a president who is not afraid to sacrifice hundreds of thousands of people to insure that the US has a steady supply of oil for the forseeable future and that US corporations continue to be profitable, competitive, and open new markets depicting loyalty to his friends despite criticisms from the thousands of Americans which have lost employment under his tutelage.

I want a president who is brave enough and who is not afraid to break laws, ignore laws, and forge ahead with an agenda designed to benefit a few over the many.

Thank you for your attention,
Heinrich Himmler
