Unfortunately, buddy got the forum and audience he was seeking with all of this. To expand on Imfeklhr's brilliant post on the matter seems to be an exercise in futility. The thread is poisonous and I still hope it gets moved and forgotten.

Covenant of marriage must include paying a stripper to take your daughter shopping for her birthday while you sit in a bar during your visitation days huh hedge? Talk about disgusting!

She filed, not me, she broke the covenant of marriage...would up being the best thing to ever happen to me though, my relationship with my kids is awesome and I have met a young lady that makes me incredibly happy and we will be getting married in the near future.

Read the article. Gay people can't marry at all in Thailand, let alone a "3way". I'm guessing it was a publicity stunt that the media, hungry for all things trivial, pounced on.
This is no different than random tabloid stories of some old spinster "marrying her cat".

But it sure makes a great strawman for people against gay marriage. Let?s find the weirdest, most unconventional, one-off thing that happened a million miles away, and then conflate gay marriage with it. I don?t view it as hateful; just intellectually lazy.

Legalized gay marriage is the government adjusting to the needs of its citizens (isn?t that how it?s supposed to be?) It wasn?t some wedge issue invented by politicians to upset the apple cart (though 99% of politicians treated it as such, especially those late to the party). It was a group of 2-10% of the population demanding service and equal treatment. Real blood, sweat and tears went into the fight for gay marriage.

That?s why it?s insulting to compare this stunt to that struggle. Start to worry about 3way same sex marriages about 25 years after polygamy starts regaining serious traction in society.
Not trying to go too deep down the moral relativism hole, but if that did happen and suddenly 10% of the population DID favor polygamy, well then maybe there SHOULD be 3way marriages allowed (this is where traditionalists reading this post can go apeshit!). The government should be a reflection of its citizens, not the other way around.
