I agree with ppabart and also find it funny that these "left out" teams seldom become the "69th best" team by winning the NIT and proving the skeptics wrong. :0008

Most of these teams make great fades in the NIT.

How can you get UP for a NIT game when you feel like you should have gotten into tournament.

I like how there are more complaints this year that we got to 68 teams.

Its obvious we need to go to 96 teams, so you can hear me bitch about how my Maryland Terps did not even make it with 96 teams. :00hour

You don't see the difference? Purdue has SOS of 25 and the teams they play all contend for their conference championships.

Wilson,
No I dont see a big difference since both Va Tech & Purdue scheduled every one of those teams w an easy win in mind. My point being, that everybody does it. The real strength of Purdue's schedule comes from their own conference. Most Big Ten teams have high SOS rankings.

The SOS rankings & the RPI have more to do with media projections than actual team capabilities. I dont take those things seriously when I handicap games.

And if Purdue was looking to play non conf games v teams that could contend for those titles, then why did they skip all the teams that contended for the Big East, ACC & Big 12 titles? Purdue should always be better than the MEAC champ! And I'm sure Purdue's AD knows that when he schedules these games.

just like when they expand to 94 teams and teams 95-100 cry bc they didnt get in.

this is what I find ironic about people that think a playoff for college football will fix the terrible BCS. If you have an 8 team playoff, teams 9-12 are going to bitch as much as teams left out of the top 2 do now. Same if it is a 16 team playoff, teams 17-24 are going to complain about being left out.

not saying I'm against a playoff for college football, I just find it funny when people don't realize that this complaining/controversy is a part of big time college athletics and won't go away.

If BC is out so should VT

If BC is out so should VT

BC Whooped up on VT at VT...that game cost VT the NCAAs IMO...BC played lilke the ncaa's were on the line which they were..VT did not...a team at home with the NCAAs on the line that played as flat as they did is niot deserving...and not a very good reflection on the coach..Greenberg is a step up as a coach for VT..but he's still not even close to upper echelon in ACC...nor will he ever be..too much BS for me
