It reminds me of Shawshank in here...

Shawshank:
"Me? My lawyer fucked me. Everybody's innocent in here. Didn't you know that?"

Madjacks:
"wrong side? Nah, the refs fucked me. I'm always right, unless of course the refs fucked me. Didn't you know that"

:mj07: :mj07:

BTW, I am NOT trying to call anyone out on here. I 'like' most of the guys in this forum. It just cracks me up that 90% of the losses on here are blamed on the refs. Durant (and Pierce last round) are getting into foul trouble because Lebron is impossible to guard for a whole game. But that's not even the point.... The refs certainly aren't perfect, but the calls go both ways, and although I know you guys think it is all conspiracy, the calls always go in favor of the aggressor in the NBA. If you don't know that by now, you haven't been watching NBA hoops for very long.

The league wants Miami this year, but they wanted Dirk the German last year?!?!? No, Dirk just kicked their asses. Miami has been tougher in the first 3 games. Period. They have been here before and are acting like it. Lebron is making big free throws and Durant, the 90% shooter is missing them. Westbrook's head looks like it's going to explode half the time out there.

The Thunder are CLEARLY the more athletic, and talented team, but that doesn't always translate into victories. It is easier to get caught up in the glory and ease of their games, but Lebron has been an ANIMAL both offensively and defensively... and Miami has flat been tougher.

The refs aren't losing this series for the Thunder; and frankly the arguments for this are just comical at this point.

This is an argument of the facts, NOT to be taken personally by anyone (I know how sensitive some can get on here).

two things:

Scott Brooks is losing the series for OKC by not playing Derek Fischer at the end of the game and by allowing Durant to guard LeBron.

Second, no one every believes these stories about the refs or other influences on the game until after the fact. We only know what we see and, as a Suns fan, I know what I saw in the series with San Antonio a few years ago and then Tim Donahy's book and conviction proved it.

The refs haven't put the Thunder in a 2-1 hole but, the NBA is the most manipulated sports league in the country. Your post and thoughts were well-written.

i've got the thunder for the series and i dont think its been officiated poorly at all. did durant get fouled end of gm 2? yes, but its a last second shot, you're supposed to expect contact.

the fouls on durant yesterday were all good calls and mostly dumb fouls (except the first offensive foul i'd say which was a bad call), but you have to have some room for error if you're durant by not committing the ticky-tack fouls on lebron steam-rolling to the hoop.

2 average fans watching the same game usually come away with the same conclusions, that the the refs and the announcers are against them and their team.

still think okc gets it done, but heat were definitely more comfortable under pressure last night..

Refs gave Heat 2 pts in game 2 on a goaltending that never happened. No NBA official corrected that error. Changed the whole dynamic of those last few possessions. Instead of a tie game, after the Lebron no call, OKC had to foul & hope for missed fts. Miami should have had to score again to win that game.
Game 3, I believe Durant had 2 fouls on Wade & another foul on offense. Dont see Lebron as responsible for his foul trouble. Too many touch fouls went the Heat's way. Thabo ripped Wade at halfcourt & got hit on a dunk attempt that went in. No call. Wade went to the line at least 3 times on calls w less contact than he made on that play. Refs a huge factor in favor of Heat, but not only reason they are losing.
Also, I been watching NBA since the 70's & never saw any relation between toughness & foul calls. So equally tough & agressive teams would force the refs to swallow their whistles? What if all 3 refs didnt agree that one team was more agressive than the other? That philosophy would completely destroy any impartiality to the referee profession.

James is 6'9" and what 270, plays 45 min. minimum every game, drives to the hoop nearly every possession, and gets 1.5 fouls per game.
Wonder why no other player in the history of the NBA was able to do that.

Jord, I love the Shawshank reference but hate the other less fortunate reference you made to that overpaid blowhard.

I guess since we're on different sides on this series it is easy to things differently. I have to think anyone objective would have to notice the fact that anytime a call in crunchtime is made it benefits the Sheat.

I think the Thunder will finally put a complete game together tomorrow and the refs won't be able to screw them.

The point is no one in the league will stop James so why waste Durant on him?

He is getting fouls plus it's affecting his offense...in an obvious way when he is not on the court and also because he is expending so much energy on defense.

Heat win game four then OKC gets game five. The script is now locked in the same machine they use to store the lottery balls.

Overall I just wish I knew. So its easy to say their is foul play and its easy to say their isn't.

I know it has to be tough as hell to referee any game, esp NBA. You almost have to anticipate fouls but its frustrating to see a guy like Wade do a reverse layup, literally untouched, and end up with a 3-point play.

I don't really mind the non-call at the end of Game 2 but Wade and Lebron would have gotten that call. Wade did get that call in "pivotal" Game 5, down 1, against Dallas in 2006. I think that was his 50th free throw that game lol.

The difference with Durant is that he goes up for the shot and gets fouled...not called. Wade pump fakes and then throws himself into people and gets the call. The Heat are individually talented as hell but as a team, they are not that good. But throw in the refs and they can compete for the title. Tough to sit back and watch it.

Just look at the steal and layup that cut it to one. If that had been Wade or Lebron they would have added a foul b/c Wade contested it. But since it was the Thunder....no call.

It may just be "star power" but total Heat bias in the series thus far.

The truth of the matter is the heat got I believe seven points outside the paint in game three. I believe they shot like 14% outside the paint. Everything else is dunks and bunnies, if they don't get the dunk, they get the foul call.

I read that the envelope they want to pick is put into the freezer so that it will be nice and cold for the pick up in the swirling plastic bubble.
