so sez Drew Olsen in today's Journal-Sentinel:
...... [yesterday's loss] It was a frustrating, demoralizing defeat that dropped the Brewers' record to 25-24, but the ugliness didn't end when the players trudged up the ramp to the visitor's clubhouse. There, splayed on a sofa with his head wrapped in towels, was Ben Sheets. The Brewers' ace right-hander, who was scheduled to start the second game of the series tonight, was suffering from dizzy spells so severe that manager Ned Yost, assistant general manager Gord Ash and pitching coach Mike Maddux were scrambling to find a replacement for today.
"I don't know what we're going to do," Yost said. "It isn't looking too good for Ben."
After starting Wes Obermueller on Saturday and using Matt Kinney for two innings on Monday, Yost did not have many options on hand.
Left-hander Chris Capuano, whose leg injury and triceps/back problems have left the Brewers short-handed for much of the season, seems more likely to end up back on the disabled list tonight than on the mound.
Rookie right-hander Ben Hendrickson, who worked for Class AAA Indianapolis on Friday, seemed to be a contender for a cross-country trek and a big-league debut.
If there is a bright spot to Sheets' illness, which might be similar to the bout of vertigo that sidelined third base coach Rich Donnelly last season, it's that it won't permit the Brewers to dwell on their loss Monday.......
