A new week, a new winner. What a final day last week. OHair melts like an ice cream on a hot summer day, and Tiger affirms his ALL TIME GREATEST status.
Back to Texas. How come there isn't a Texas swing? Because the golfers couldn't stand to be there two weeks in a row. The Houston Open, at a fairly new course, Redstone GC. A public course tricked up for tournament play, for the fourth or fifth year.
A little course history, enough to cap up some. A little recent history thrown in, and we have a possible pool. The early lookers are---
Appleby---Nah. Forget it. I don't know what I'm thinking. Averaging almost 72 shots a rouind? If Stu is going to come alive, this is the place.
Glover---This guy is still in his twentys. He seems like he's been playing for 20 years, at least to me he does. Lucas was a regular pick for myself a few years ago, and I actually had him for his only win at 80-1. 69.96 per round. Good enough to win once in awhile. I don't why he doesn't win more, or even contend more, I do like his game though. Makes birdies in bunches, and he can grind also.
Olgilvy---If he wins this, he will be winning at a pace better than Tiger's historical pace. Is that possible? Hell no. If he wins he will be 3 wins in 7 starts. I personally think Geoff is a better golfer than Els, Goosen, Scott, Furyk, and Garcia.
Crane---The best guy no one pays any attention to. He's won twice as many as Glover. I kind of like the guy. He agravates the other players, but heck, I don't care about that. When Ben is on--he's on, like Donkey Kong. And he's starting to click on.
My pick this week is--
Glover 67.00----sia---nostalgia pick? No. I think he can win it. I know for a fact he's not a 66-1er. It's not free money, but it's a definate overlay.
The 10 foot pole crew are Haas, 2 weeks in a row for this youngin', BVP, and Armour3. Fading these guys.
My one and only book doesn't have 72 hole match-ups anymore. I feel like cashing out, but then I wouldn't have anywhere to bet. The lack of Neteller has just killed my action. I need to get up at some other outs, but the deposit hassle is so discourging. GLAA.
