Play was suspended at 12:50 p.m. local time Thursday due to a front blasting through with winds gusting to 35 mph. With the greens exposed and running lightning fast, balls were moving on the greens.

Greg Norman, who teed off on the 10th hole, hit into the 18th and his ball landed 10 feet past the hole. By the time he walked up to the green, the wind had blown it about 22 feet -- close to 12 feet on the other side of the hole.

Terrible decision. Now the afternooners get 36 holes tomorrow in a forecasted 10 mph winds, as opposed to 35-40 mph winds we got stuck with. No chance in even coming close to hitting those par 5's in 2 with those winds this morning. :soapbox: :soapbox: :em38:

With this delay are books even going to put up 2nd and 3rd rd matchups? It seems some of the books are somewhat slow in getting the matchups up to begin with, are they really going to put up rd 2 matchups today?

Hoffman is averaging 2.125 putts per gir basically 2 putting everything than 3 putting a par 5 for par..

Could easily be shooting a course record if he made even a 1/3 of these short ones..
