Bottom line, I think Sherman is an asshole trying to dig his way out of a hole he dug. Like Cowherd said a few months ago, Sherman has some kanye west in him.....and that is not a good thing

If you look like a thug, act like a thug, and talk like a thug when everybody is watching, how else do you feel people will perceive you?
No different if you look, act, talk like trailer trash.
If Sherman acts differently off the field when nobody is watching then all those people who weren't watching may not see it that way.
As for everybody else, I don't know why it's racist to see that as thug behavior, especially since last I knew Crabtree isn't white and he was the one who was abused.
Either way the guy can sure as hell play and if I'm Pete Carroll I tell him not to change a thing, just expect people to see you for what you are.

Many on this website are guilty of this veiled racism, but I am sure they would deny it. :nono:

not a big fan of throwing the racist label around ,but,i was impressed by sherman`s press conferences and interviews(the post game shenanigans notwithstanding).......imo,that heat of the moment stuff is no big deal.......the guy is obviously intense(very smart and well-spoken)

i`m sure the whole post-game clusterfuck(media driven) has succeeded in jacking up super bowl interest for some casual and non-fans....

mission accomplished...

Good points. IMHO, we are all guilty of racism to some extent. It is just part of being human. We all make assumptions about others, whether it is due to the others' race, culture, nationality, sex, sexual orientation, age, etc. The key is to recognize that we all have this inherent judgement of others in us, and to use moments like this to challenge the way we act because of it.

I personally like Sherman. I think he is an intelligent guy who got caught up in the moment, but I disagree with what he said. There is thinly veiled racism but I don't think it has to do with the word thug. Thug is used in hockey all the time...
