i just heard that she sold the death pictures of her son to a tabloid.....
for that alone she shouldn't get any sympathy...

So much has been written about the death of 20-year-old Daniel Wayne Smith, but so little is known of the young man himself. Most of the media stories have focused instead on the eventful career of his notorious mother ? Anna Nicole Smith ? the sometimes Marilyn Monroe look-alike who became a famous stripper in Dallas and a Guess model, married a dying billionaire, struggled with prescription drug addiction, and eventually wound up with her own reality show.
Daniel died just a few days after Anna Nicole gave birth to a baby girl in the Bahamas. He was sitting in his mother's hospital room when she discovered he was unconscious. She tried to resuscitate him but he eventually died. There is much speculation over what caused his death, but a full report will not be released until two weeks from now.
In the meantime his death has been picked over in every publication from Star Magazine to the Hindustan Times: Who was the third person in the hospital room? Was the death from natural or unnatural causes? Was it his heart or the antidepressants he took or an overdose of something else?
***And how could his mother have sold photos of him to In Touch for $400,000 less than 24 hours after his death?***

My gf has always felt extremely negatively towards her since the death of her son. She thinks she was either doing the drugs with her son, supplying him, or he came across her supply. Just a woman's intuition. She also works in a hospital and has worked many O D situations.

I dont worry to much about money its you two guys who are obsessed with it and let it control every thought of your lives. Me I just live day by day not dreaming someday im gonna be a billionaire. I don't doubt you, AR. It makes sense anyway - both her and her son were junkies. Everything's for sale in that situation. No point trying to make a hero out of her just because she met her innevitable demise. Gold-digging junkies would do pretty much anything for money and drugs. ....And there's no way in hell she was a good mother. That kid probably grew up maladjusted, to say the least.

The 38-year-old and her photo agent, Getty Images, have received hundreds of thousands of dollars from the sale of the lad's final pictures with his mother and his new sister in a Bahamian maternity ward.
Smith's son Daniel was found slumped dead in a chair on Sept. 10. And while causes of the tragic death are still unknown, sources claim that In Touch magazine has paid as much as 400,000 dollars for the print exclusive on photos, and the Paramount-produced television shows "Entertainment Tonight" and "The Insider" have forked out an estimated 250,000 dollars for the TV exclusive.
"There is an incredible amount of emotion attached to this story and the photos, and our story will be a tribute to Daniel's life as a well as a celebration of it,"The New York Daily News quoted a spokesman for the publication, as saying.
Sources claim that Anna Nicole has vague plans to use a portion of the money for a Daniel Smith memorial, but what percentage of the proceeds Getty would take as a commission is yet unknown.(ANI)

From what I've just heard.....
she died senselessly and would have lived if she just went to a real doctor. One reason she died was due to a blood infection that she was not properly taken care of. She also died of some long worded condition I can't remember. Sleeping medication in her system at a toxic level combined with the blood infection did her in. Those she stupidly surrounded herself with decided to help her condition out on their own instead of taking her to a real doctor of some sort. She would have quite easily lived. (Until the inevitable actual O.D. of some sort) All the money in the world won't keep you alive when you need a real doctor for an infection but you think over the counter medication will do the trick. Mr Stern will have a lot to answer for, mainly because many will think he at least should have known better.
