the other thing to note is that trade rumors are out there that
Belfour and Shields might be traded, to Leafs or somewhere.


So teams might want to showcase them, and goalies themselves might step up play to show what they are worth.

Shields seems to be doing this. Belfour sez he really wants to take on SJ tonight. Stars official site sez Belfour in goal, and Erskine on IR, called up Dave Mason from UT.
